I have to admit, I'm not a fan of Paramore (in fact totally the opposite and I agree that they are quite average) but its not true that shes famous for being a girl...look at Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Hey Monday, Versaemerge, Iwrestledabearonce... all have female vocalists and none of them are particularly famous.

to be fair kerrang cant constantly cover green day or not cover paramore or slipknot or any other bands that people love/hate - they have to keep as many readers happy as possible or they wouldnt make any money!!

Kerrang! isn't a "metal" magazine. It's an alternative magazine, which means it can give us news about any type of music that has guitars & drums, in a more rock format, basically. And they have to sell magazines - their target audience these days likes the bands you hate.

Personally, I feel that if you don't like what the magazine has on offer, why bother buying it and reading the news? There are plenty of other news outlets that will give you information about who ever you like, and it'd be much better use of your time to read about things you support rather than those you don't.

I understand your frustration, but personally I don't agree with it.

If Kerrang was an ALTERNATIVE magazine, the y wouldn't have the most MAINSTREAM generic, pop shite on the front cover every single fucking week. Fall Out Boy, Paramore, 30 Seconds to Mars, Green Day and their ilk are as mainstream as it gets without actually having Leona Lewis and JLS on the cover.

If Kerrang truly gave a shit about music, they'd give under-rated, new and upcoming bands with genuine talent some coverage instead of rehashing stories about the aforementioned bands over and over again, every week.

The "Introducing" section has featured some great bands lately, including Manchester Orchestra, Iwrestledabearonce, Fake Problems and Polar Bear Club - who are some of my favourite bands. The problem is, that once these bands appear in "Introducing", they virtually never appear in the magazine again unless they appeal to the teeny-pop crowd. My Passion, anyone?

Kerrang was about rock. It used to be important, now it's just a gossip / fashion rag comperable to Heat and Hello. There's a sprinkling of decent artists in the pages every so often, but most of it is just the same old shit.

Mainstream just means a lot of people like it or they can get into the charts, it doesnt detract from its actual value as a piece of music. K! wouldn't sell half as many magazines if they constantly put it bands that no-one had heard of.

Just thought i would let you all know that this weeks magazine is good (like always). I espically liked the letter from Jacoby Shaddix at the end, i'm glad he's doing well with the whole sober thing and Hayley is only on 1 page so you can skip it, if you want to.

Seriously, i don't know why people are moaning about too much Paramore. I love 'em but im far from 'emo' and they obviously sell alot more with them in the mag. It's a double page and a small mention here and there, it wont kill you to simply skip the page if you don't like them. Remember they are touring atm and with BNE just released this is bound to happen. In a few months it'll be like "Paramore who?".

This magazine USED to be for alternative and metal music. It now features the same pop bands every week.

This annoys people with decent taste in music who feel that their support for the magazine over the years has been ignored in favour of flavour-of-the-month pop band fans.

People like you who are clearly lacking intelligence - you can't spell, structure a sentence or punctuate - are the sort of people who lap up the shite that magazines tell you are good and are willing to spend your money on it. Kerrang knows this and panders to you and your ilk, instead of sticking to their roots and keeping the alternative music scene thriving.

In summary; you are an idiot, Kerrang! is shit, and people with taste and even just a little intelligence want to have their voices heard and see Kerrang! return to its former glory.

I remembered when I started reading Kerrang a couple of years ago. I was head over heals cause I'd found a magazine that actually wrote about the 'weird' and 'different' music I listened to, and not just the shit you'd hear about everywhere else. At the time Kerrang! still was pretty friggin awesome, I'd buy every single magazine every week. But now, I probably haven't bought an issue for what, three-four months?

It seems that Kerrang! has had a really, REALLY bad year, and I hope, though I doubt that it will ever be the same again.

And I DON'T WANNA KNOW their reasons why 2009 rocked, since it will most likely make me vomit! PARAWHORE FOR FUCKS SAKE?! EPICA, which is a great upcoming, underrated (by Kerrang! at least) band who put out the most amazing album this year, 'Design Your Universe', hasn't even been mentioned ONCE in the history of Kerrang!!! Why the hell not?! Can someone please open up their eyes for real music?? -.-

They do put metal in Kerrang .. jus not all the time, in this mag they did an interview with Metalicas gitarist, jus cos they also did an interveiw wid band lyk You Me At Six suddenly means thats the onli type of music they cover in Kerrang. They do a mix so any1 who said they dnt is wrong and shud shut up, if they hated K! so mutch why wer they even waisting their time complaining?

Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Lostprophets, You Me At Six and Hey Monday are all alternative bands, yes they dance, but what are you meant to do without an instrument, just stand? (Pete Wents does play bass, i know, but I don't really like him personally anyway.) The Blackout is Post-Hardcore. Where the hell will all the emotion be if he's screaming with no movement? you need to move and make the crowd response.

Anyway, K! seem to cover; Alternative (Post-Hardcore etc), Metal, and whatever else. Not pop, it's a magazine that'll cover a fair range rather than just one so you can't expect metal every single issue. I won't be back on this again because all I came on to do was buy a Subscription.

please please please can you put out an issue about the rev and avenged sevenfold ? i love kerreng but it dont have enough of the metal bands no more so i think it should play more bands like bullet for my valentine and Metallica and avenged sevenfold.... please play a tribute on kerreng for the rev..please?? :(
