Red Hot Chili Peppers have apparently parted company with guitarist John Frusciante.
According to musicradar.com, a source close to the band claims Frusciante has been replaced by Chili Peppers’ touring guitarist Josh Klinghoffer.
"Mentally, John checked out a long time ago. He's interested in doing his own thing, his own albums - the whole big rock band machinery just doesn't appeal to him anymore," said the source.
As previously reported, the band are currently working on the follow-up to their 2006 album Stadium Arcadium.
