Black metal – the musical!

Former Gorgoroth frontman Gaahl is set to appear in the first ever black metal musical.

Entitled Svartediket, the production will premiere on May 26 at Norway’s Festspillene I Bergen, an international music and culture festival.

Will there be jazz hands? Sadly, we think not.

Can you all stop the fucking gay jokes? Wow, Gaahl is gay - who cares? Black metal wasn't about strick "kvlt" rules; it was about creating freedom and against what rules were imposed by society.

It fought for freedom of sexuality - not against it.

He created great music, and who cares if it's going to be a musical? Most music originates from the same format - so why does it matter if it goes into another?

Metal was one of the most accepting genres...and in some circles it still is. But sadly, we're now subject to pathetic elitists.
