Blink 182 launch Haiti benefit T-shirt

Blink 182 are selling a special T-shirt to raise funds for the Red Cross’ Haiti relief work.

The Caribbean republic of Haiti was hit by an earthquake this past Tuesday (January 12) which has left an estimated 50,000 dead and thousands more injured.

You can purchase the T-shirt (pictured below) from Blink 182’s official online store for $15 (approx. £9) plus shipping.

Or just donate the money...because al "proceeds" means that they take what you give them, minus any money they used to make it, plus a transaction fee,

Blink 182 Are My Best Band I'm So Happy That They Are Helping The Poor People

It's great that a band of this stature are raising awareness for the people of Haiti, but I would recommend caution. Purchasing merchandise for the proceeds is an ineffective way of helping these people due to costs involved in production, shipping, advertising, etc.

If you wish to help, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an independent humanitarian medical aid organisation who provide medical aid where it is most needed, regardless of race, religion, politics or gender.

They provide medical care at many humanitarian disasters and in war-torn countries and rely on the donations of generous people - particularly at times like these when their resources are stretched.

You can find out about the organisation and the work that they do - as well as how to donate - on their UK website: http://www.msf.org.uk/

Your donations will help people, not only in Haiti, but around the world.
