Ex-Skid Row singer slams Steel Panther!

Former Skid Row singer Sebastian Bach has slammed LA hair metal revivalists Steel Panther, calling them “fucking goofs”.

In a tirade on US radio against his former A&R Jason Flom, Bach said he can’t understand why Flom passed on releasing a record he co-wrote with Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose but then went on to sign Steel Panther.

“Jason Flom passed on me, Sebastian Bach, with Axl Rose on a record. Then he put out Steel Panther,” he said. “I want people to realise that. This same guy who says ‘no’ to Sebastian Bach and Axl Rose together on record, says ‘yes’ to a bunch of fucking goofs, clowns, comedy guys. He says ‘yes’ to them.”

“We live in a world where Van Halen [don’t] have a record deal. How can there be such a thing as rock ’n’ roll if Van Halen [don’t] have a deal?” he added. “The music industry is so screwed up I don’t want to rely on anybody but me. I’m doing another record, but it’s cool to be in control of your music and be able to get it out without asking anybody.”

In related news, Steel Panther will return to the UK in March playing Newcastle Academy on March 18, London Brixton Academy 19, and Sheffield Academy 20.

Seriously, Guns n' Roses (the old band, although chinese democracy was a great album too....) are legends, and will NEVER be bested.....

As for van halen, yes, it's stupid that they don't have a record deal......but i doubt they care anymore do they? They've had they're time in the limelight, i recokon they wouldn't do well now (even tho i think they are good)

Still......you would think that anything involving axl rose is at least worth a try! Both steel panther and sebastian bach should be signed....

firstly ever since axl rose and guns and roses the original line up split up, hes become a douche bag so thts proberly why him and seb (also a douchebag) didnt get tht record with jason flom and wht the hell steel panther are good basically there tryin to pay homage to bands like van halen and motley crue so this guy should shut the fuck up!!

This band is shit, beyond shit actually.
Why people like them I will never know... Yeah lets say it was funny at the start but now? Its just fucking sad.
I normally don't like Sebastian Bach but I agree with him there, it is a sad day in music when this Steel Panther shit can get a record deal and bands like Van Halen can't.

Finally, someone else agrees with me. I've disliked Steel Panther ever since Kerrang reported that they dissed Def Leppard's drummer by saying their own drummer has both arms. I've been a Sebastian Bach fan ever since I was little, and he's absoltuely right. Steel Panther is absolutely horrid.

The title says it all

Just because a few people don't like Paramore, dosn't mean that everyone has to hate them. People are actually intrested in them and seeing as they're a popular band why shouldn't be in kerrang? They did a sold out tour last year that I went to and it was thebest gig I've ever been to that just proves that they have a lot of fans and are well like. Yeah I admit a few people don't like them, but who cares, they don't let it get them down. So up yours!

i well agree with what emma said. at first is was slightly funny, but now that they're all over tv and this shitty magazine it's becoming pathetic. especially as all they have to discuss when interviewed is fucking women and doing coke. over compensating much?

Old GN'R are the best band that ever fucking existed, and they're my idols, although, at the same time, I think Axl is a dick for doing what he did. Steel Panther are fucking gay. They don't make serious music at all. And Lexxi Foxxx looks like a fucking woman. And why do they all have stupid fucking names, with too many letters in it. Tbh, they're fucking sad and Seb Bach is right to slag them off. He's way better than S.P. I can't understand why you'd ignore him and Axl, and go for Shit Panther.
