Gerard Way on fatherhood

My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way claims that fatherhood is easy compared to writing the follow-up to his band’s 2006 album, The Black Parade.

"The record was more challenging than the baby, and the baby was really challenging!" the 32-year-old singer told US magazine Spin. "I was pretty worn out. Liy-Z [Way’s wife and bassist of Mindless Self Indulgence] and I had the baby, and then two weeks after that I was in the studio.

“I didn't shave for weeks, looked horrible, and ended up getting all these dreadlocks in my hair,” he added. “I was never showering. I would show up in a T-shirt covered in baby puke - you can pretty much picture the glamorous nature of that. And so we would work every day, and as soon as we were done I would rush right home and help Lyn-Z with the baby."

The band's as-yet-untitled new album will be released later this year through Warner Bros.

I'm really anticipating this album, I want to hear how far they've grown from TBP. Basing my thoughts on the songs I've heard already and what they've said, it'll be leagues away from anything they've ever done(and hopefully better than TBP..). I'm interested to see what Gerard does lyrics wise, seeing as he's a family man and everything now..
I'm starting to get excited :D!
