Soundgarden reform!

It's official, grunge legends Soundgarden have reformed!

Lead singer Chris Cornell revealed the news via his Twitter at 5AM (GMT) this morning (Friday, January 1, 2010).

"The 12 year break is over and school is back in session," he Tweeted. "[The] Knights of the Soundtable ride again!"

Other than Cornell's brief statement, the band have not indicated what their plans for the year ahead may be. However insiders predict that a new album could be in the works and that Soundgarden will undoubtedly travel to Europe for the summer festivals.

Watch this space.

Holy cunt, what better news could have been heard on the 1st day of 2010

Well, if I was a betting man, I would say someone could make a chunk of change by putting on a big ass show with:

Pearl Jam
Soundgarden
Alice In Chains

I am just saying, there's a lot of us 30yr olds that would spunk a nut for that ticket

Oh fuck yeah, Richard you have said exactly what I was thinking. The three of them would have my ancient 36 year old self soiling my undies and not just because I am old. BEST start to a new year ever!

2010 is already better than 2009, I can't think of a better way to start the year. Also, reckon they could make a festival appearance?

Tom Morrello is one of THE best guitarists ever to walk this earth, he made his choice and hes still making awesome music and if you dont like it shut the hell up cause your not a true Morrello fan!!
and B.H.S is a great song, and both Audioslave and Soundgarden are great bands, great enough to count the late Kurt Cobain, master of Grunge, a fan of their music!!

do yourself and the rest of alternative music fans a favour and look up the words Good Music and Respect in a dictionary, in case you dont know, thats the big book that tells you what words mean..

Hahaha, one of them, I still say Satriani is the best, saw him live... ever seen morello live?..... didnt think so.

Im not a morello fan, thanks, im a RATM fan before this whole fad started!

*psht like you even like Kurt Cobain or his music. You just like the pissy titles he's been given.

Alternative music? Like Paramore? Hahahah. Sorry, but this is a ROCK magazine, well it used to be, so if you love your alternative shit, please go to....

Hell?

I'm wondering why the man would be posting stuff on Twitter at FIVE IN THE MORNING? Maybe he was drunk and feeling nostalgic.. Let's hope they actually follow through on this..
