Blink 182 for Reading and Leeds?

The internet was awash with rumours on Friday night (February 19) that Blink 182 are set to play this summer’s Reading and Leeds festivals after vocalist / bassist Mark Hoppus unveiled the band’s latest batch of European festival dates via his official blog.

Hoppus confirmed gigs in Holland, Germany, Austria and Italy between August 20 and September 4, and, conveniently the weekend of August 27 to August 29, when Reading and Leeds usually take place, has conveniently been left free.

While the Reading and Leeds Festivals’ organisers, Festival Republic, declined to comment on the rumours, a spokesperson said an official announcement is expected late next month.

i want blink to play but the likelyness of gettin a reading ticket is small and then the fact tht loads of people tht are like yh i love blink even tho they only know all the small things or whats my age again... are gonna be all goin reading and no true fans will get tickets !!! sorry they should just play wembley arena or stadium or some thing like tht

no bands should ever play their first reunion gig in a country at a festival, a festival where most people will only go and see them for the hell of it, its pissing on the fans that would want to desperately see them and cant make it too festivals.

Blink DIDN'T headline in 2003. They were on right before headliners Linkin Park.

You lot are morons, theyre obviously gunna do a uk tour you tits they wont leave us out. And some people might not want to wait ages to see them, some of us fans actually want o see yhem as soon as because we can't wait i.e. Reading

Mark, Tom and Travis love festivals! why wouldnt they want to play leeds/reading? Mark said himself he loves those kind of things. I planned on going to leeds festival anyway before i heard this, and now i know my favourite band might be playing, i actually cant wait. ofcourse blink are gonna tour UK, im feeling an arena tour. Look at it this way, anyone who wants to see Blink at an arena, but also plan to go to these festivals (me :D) are gonna see these twice :)

I think Blink should come to Dublin at the end of the year! It would be the most awesome gig! I wish Download could get them to play too! They'd be deadly at the festival! Especially since I can't make Reading or Leeds!
