Megadeth reunite with original bassist

Megadeth have reunited with original bassist David Ellefson. The band will kick off their month-long Rust In Peace 20th anniversary tour on March 1 in Spokane, Washington.

"This shows the power of brotherly love and forgiveness," says frontman Dave Mustaine. "David Ellefson belongs in Megadeth. Next we are going to show you the power of getting your asses kicked. Hard!"

"This is a huge moment for all of us, band and fans alike," adds Ellefson. "It is a great celebration of the music from one of the biggest landmark albums of our career."

Megadeth has gone from being the Dave Mustaine project back to being Megadeth. No disrespect though for James Lomenzo who was a kick ass bass player in his own right but Dave Ellefson is the classic bass player in Megadeth. Hopefully Nick Menza and Marty Friedman will return one day.

Me personally would give a chance to Chris Broderik... Endgame is much better than neally all music Mustaine made with Marty (even he is great player). Only Rust in Peace is better in my opinion...

the orginal rust in peace line up was the best but im very happy with this line up aswell.i hope ellefson stays in the band and they make more solid albums together.

Megadeth always make kick ass albums but with dave2 back in the band things have gotten a wfole lot better,this has made my musical year,wouldnt it be good to see an orginal guns n roses line up aswell?

wouldnt it be good if they did what iron maiden did when they brought back adrian smith and become a 5 piece with marty frieldman.boderick deserves a chance to show us what hes got,thrash has a new foundation.
