Pete Wentz appointed spokesperson for UNICEF

Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz has been appointed as a spokesperson for UNICEF to raise awareness about the importance of providing clean drinking water for children around the world.

“Water is something that we as Americans often take for granted,” says Wentzy. “The reality is, the lack of clean and accessible drinking water kills 4,100 children under the age of five every day and as a new father I have become highly attuned to the needs of children everywhere. Unfortunately, it's usually when emergencies like Haiti occur, that the importance of clean water really becomes apparent to the rest of us.”

I think this is a great move. Pete has become an icon on his own right and I think it's great he is using his fame to spread such an important message. Hats of to you :D

Are they serious? I know somebody who could do a much better job, his name is Toby. He's my dog and he's not very smart, but one thing's for sure, he has to be smarter than that knobhead. What a publicity stunt, he's only doing it so everyone will think "Isn't he great?" What reason does he have?

Ok. It's something called influence, you may not like Pete or FOB. BUT what he's doing is for a good cause, regardless of intelligence, and he does a fiar bit for charity anyway. But, to put it bluntly he can't be that stupid if he run's a bunch of buisnesses and makes himself a whole load of money. You don;t have to have qualifications for that, but you have to have something about you.

Pete Wentz is I think only a few credits shy of a degree in Political Science, so your intelligence comments are quite clearly irrelevant.
Oh and he's married to Ashlee Simpson, if he was doing this for fame then it'd probably take far less effort to release a sex tape.
Regardless of your opinion on his music or him in general this is something positive so maybe you should leave him to see if he can make a difference.

Hey, would just like to point out the only people that ever stand up for "Wentzy" are Kerrang magazine and a bunch of fan girls, to distract them, I thought I´d ask them a question, who´s hotter? Pete Wentz or Joe Jonas.
