The Gaslight Anthem upgrade shows

Due to overwhelming demand, The Gaslight Anthem’s gigs at Glasgow's ABC and London’s Kentish Town Forum on June 23 and June 26 has been upgraded to the Glasgow Academy and London Brixton Academy respectively.

The band will be touring the UK in June in support of their upcoming third album, American Slang, which hits stores on June 14.

Their full list of tour dates is as follows:

June
22 Birmingham, Academy
23 Glasgow, Academy
24 Manchester, Academy
26 London, Brixton Academy
29 Oxford, Academy

The Glasgow date got upgraded to the 02 Academy the day tickets went on sale.

Does anyone know the affect of this, as i have seated tickets at Forum, will they still be seated at Brixton or will it be standing?

if you had seated for forum there is at upper tier at brixton which is seating, most likely end up there. it's a quality view though, i saw them crooked vultures there when they played the secret support slot for the arctic monkeys and it was sick.

Gaslight have done an impressive job of straddling the space between gruff punk and The Boss, but Brixton is gonna be a hard one to pull off...

I'm not a fan of the Academy, or the ABC - the booze is far too pricy and I prefer my venues a touch more intimate, or at least more atmospheric.

That being said, they put on a hell of a show at the Garage last time, so I'm right up for this - regardless of where it is.

Hopefully though, the next time they come over it'll be the Barrowlands - the best venue in the UK without a doubt.
