Dragonforce part ways with ZP Theart

Dragonforce have parted ways with vocalist ZP Theart.

"It is with great regret that Dragonforce announce a parting of the ways with singer ZP Theart," reads an official statement from the band. "This is due to insurmountable differences of musical opinion but the rest of the band sincerely wishes ZP great success with his future projects.

“While the creative core members have begun writing the fifth album, they have also started a worldwide search for a new vocalist.'

"Anyone wishing to audition for the vacant position should apply following the instructions right here."

Its gonna be hard to replace ZP Theart even though he didnt have much to sing with all the solos and that lol.

This sucks. Noone else can sing ''On a cold winters morning, In the time before the light. In flames of death's eternal rain, We ride towards the fight!!' like ZP Theart. I spent over £40 on Dragonforce CDs but I'm not sure if I'll be buying the next album.

Glad I got the chance to see them last December, and typically when ZP had tightened his vocal performance live.

fair enough, dragonforce suck lets be honest they are over rated and really arent that brilliant, everything sounds the same, and its not that much of a loss.

this absolutely sucks! im so glad i got to see dragonforce in november 2009, the last chance i guess... they will never ever find anyone as good as ZP at singing those songs, and i refuse to listen to them anymore. dragonforce now suck!

I know it'll probably suck for the major Dragonforce fans, cos he did have a good voice, but i don't see why people are getting so upset over it. i mea, dragonforce is awesome cos of the crazy guitar work (even if a lot of it sounds similar). Don't turn your back on them until after you've heard their next album, and if you don't like them (or if you're a fag who likes elliot minor) then go complain to people who care

maybe they'll take time to learn the guitar solos to play live instead of miming? running protools through your amp and setting it off to play the solos cos you cant manage it live is not a good start for a "talented" band

You know what, i've always stuck up for dragonforce. i remember seeing them at the camden underworld years ago and they've always had the same attitude. i think it's actually refreshing to see a band that don't take it all too seriously and just enjoy playing. isnt that what it's all about? we all have opinions on music, i think people should lay off them a bit.

having said that, sam totman can be a great player, but is a pisshead for sure. i did laugh at the previous post, i can picture that scene clearly!!

Inside info.

Yes they do use pro tools live and at the guitar clinics Herman did in the states. The drummer doesn't play all the parts live either. And to say the have a nice attetude clearly demonstrates that you are either on amphetamines or stupid. These cunts have been trying to screw Zp since day one. Unfortunately he was the last remaining member with talent, real talent.

I personally think Zp is better of without them. Releas that solo album now dude, rock on brother.

And a big fat fuck you to the the two nerd gay would be guitarist.

I'm very glad to see that people do see through the front that is created by Herman and kie! "Insider trader" you are right on the money! Who wants to be in a band were the guitarists can't even play their own songs and plays to back tracks! Somebody should give them a lesson on values, .... mr guitarist...... that must seriously suck!
It's the best thing ZP could have ever done! You go ZP, we are all waiting for and supporting your new projects! At least we know your talent!
