Foo Fighters promise "heaviest album yet"

Foo Fighters are to begin work on their follow-up to 2007’s Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace in September.

They’ll team up with producer Butch Vig, who recorded Nirvana’s 1991 classic Nevermind as well as Green Day's 21st century Breakdown among others, and will record the album in frontman Dave Grohl’s garage.

“Me and [drummer] Taylor [Hawkins] have already started demoing songs,” says Dave. “I think this could be our heaviest album yet.”

We’re sure Dave’s neighbours are going to be chuffed!
