Kerrang! Magazine 10/03/10

“The chicks were magnificent!” - HIM’s Ville Valo laid bare!

On constant more from airports, to hotels, to gig venues, the life of a successful rockstar isn’t always what it seems. In this week’s Kerrang! magazine HIM frontman Ville Valo invites you behind closed doors to see for yourself.

Plus: Win! A guitar and a guitar lesson with Madina Lake!

Also in this week’s issue: Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash reveals that the LA supergroup are still searching for the perfect frontman, even though he’s about to release a new solo album. New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert and Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams get set to release their “date on tape”, you lot tell us what you think about Bob Bryar leaving My Chemical Romance, Megadeth go on the rampage in LA with an Abrams Tank and former Pantera frontman Phil Anselmo breaks his silence to talk about Dimebag Darrell.

Plus: Inside Kiss’s intimate show in London, Access All Areas at AC/DC’s massive homecoming gig in Sydney and the live return of (hed) P.E.! Steel Panther’s Michael Starr tells us his Road Rules, we pay tribute to The Rev with a classic Avenged Sevenfold feature from the vaults, we go inside Mastodon’s recent UK tour, Machine Head’s Robb Flynn tells us the stories behind some of his band’s biggest anthems and The Blackout take on the K! Quiz!

And: New albums from The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Audition, Forever The Sickets Kids and more rated and reviewed. Plus over 1,000 gigs listed in our massive 7-day Gig Guide!

Free posters of Frank turner, Fightstar, Pantera, Angels And Airwaves and Boys Like Girls.

Every week, we should look for failures in Kerrang! This can be several things: Bad covers, spelling mistakes, disappointing features, etc.

It could be like a game!!
YAY!!

:)

Who's in?? Say "Ay" !

Posted by Mir Mir | March 9, 2010 7:57 PM | Reply to this

@Mir Mir, AY! :D

Other than those retarded mistakes,
can't wait to get the issue :3
Paramore + The Blackout = <3.
But seriously, HIM, again?! o_O Wtf.

Posted by Terri | March 9, 2010 9:26 PM | Reply to this

AY!
Haha that is the easiest game ever! They have failed for like 2 months straight with shit covers, but last week they finally put a good band on it. And if you count Paramore as a failure in Kerrang, well, it's a failure every week then :P

Posted by Lee | March 9, 2010 11:44 PM | Reply to this

Paramore has been in Kerrang for the past 3 months without fail, at least. Stop complaining about HIM being in when Paramore have been in it WAY much more. ¬_¬

Posted by Haylee | March 10, 2010 12:33 AM | Reply to this

*have been in every issue of Kerrang for at least the past 3 months now.

Posted by Haylee | March 10, 2010 12:38 AM | Reply to this

What a shitty issue, im going to keep my 2.20 and get some apple donuts!
Ville 'i-shove-pencils-up-my-arse' Valo was on the cover less than a month ago...furthermore, he's a massive knob who has the personality of a dead monkey.
Oh, and im not even going to START on Hayley "im-so-much-cooler-than-you" Williams being featured, AGAIN!

Posted by meepee molko | March 10, 2010 8:42 AM | Reply to this

Are Hayley and Chad up to?! OMG LOLZ!

This is a straight message to Kerrang!

Before you make your Magazine and waste so much ink, why dont you ask the public what they want!
You did a Kerrang! Review not to long ago, and may i ask who won? you have soooooo many contests yet, you never annouce the winner. I think you should follow in the footsteps of the Rocksound magazine even though they havent been around long. They offer so many bands that you can read about, they have diffrent bands on their cover every month, and i understand that its hard for u to make a magazine every week but still.....
thanks
Blue

kerrang you need to cover more screemo and post hardcore music :'(

Posted by baldwin | March 10, 2010 11:55 AM | Reply to this

Those mistakes have been up for nearly 18 hours now, Kerrang!. Poor.

Posted by Ahem | March 10, 2010 12:05 PM | Reply to this

More Paramore!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Dahuna | March 10, 2010 5:08 PM | Reply to this

I seriously hope you are joking.

Posted by Haylee | March 10, 2010 6:59 PM | Reply to this

As much as I love HIM, I'm just hoping this isn't the new band Kerrang is obsessed with. I never buy kerrang much as I don't like much of the music it covers, just I'll eventually get bored of 'em if you feature them too much.
Just like Paramore post-Twilight.

Posted by Haylee | March 10, 2010 7:14 PM | Reply to this

How about Elevator Music? I guess they aren't big enough yet, but still, someone diff than HIM and Para.

Posted by Carla | March 10, 2010 8:04 PM | Reply to this

i'm buying this for one reason and one reason only...... BOYS LIKE GIRLS POSTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I for one am pretty happy with this issue, if only for the Avenged article. I have the magazine right next to me, and loved reading the A7X pages. Thank you K! <3 <3

About time kerrang started covering decent bands like HIM! now thats real music, apart from the shitty pop punk we continue seeing every fuckin issue!

if you want pop punk and shitty paramore, i suggest you head over to radio one or start buying other magazines

Kerrang stick with the metal and goth. Why sell yourself out to commerical shit!!!

Ps, continue with interviews of ville, that guy is my hero :)

Ville Valo is in every Kerrang issue, it gets boring.
But then Avenged Sevenfold are recording a new album dedicated to The Rev (who just happens to be the best damn drummer to walk the earth) and Kerrang couldn't give a flying fuck!
I'm done with this magazine, it's a load of bullshit for 10 year olds.
