Because we don't need to be greatful they aren't in it when they've been in it unjustifiably too much.

Moreoever, YM@6 are in it too much too...but hey, K! couldn't do anything that is not uber popular these days, bar DEP and a few select others.

Im glad ymas are on the front

i know different people who like ymas, but no other bands that feature in the magazine and i know they'll buy it just because ymas are in it. The Hold Me Down Tour started last Tuesday, therefore- front cover.

i love you me at six, and the tour was AMAZING, :)

Im writing this because of some gigs i attended over the last couple of months. Went to see lostprophets at brixton in feb and although the band themselves were amazing the show was ruined by little kids (teenagers) acting like 5 year olds, barging people out the way so they could be all cool and be near the front, not caring who they might hurt in the process, i used to go to gigs from when i was sixteen (26 now) and i never acted like these shits did. Second of all i went to see inme at harlow square the following day, and it was probably one of the best gigs i ever went to, the band were amazing live, the crowd were good and i was lucky enoughto meet the band and get very drunk with them, they really knew how to get the crowd going though and all they got reviewed for on that tour was 3 k's. A week or so later and i go to wembley to see 30 seconds to mars and again, thousands of kids, at first it didnt bother me, i expected it, what i didnt expect was the band to treat the etire audience like kids, all this shit like, can the left side scream, can the right, it was like a heavy version of punch and judy, i found it so insulting, it was one of the worst gigs i have ever witnessed, he was acting like he was god or something. Then i read in kerrang they get 5 k's, is it just cos they are one of the flavours of the month. I know alot of people are going to tear into me for saying all this but i dont care, they're just kids

Posted by Dave | March 17, 2010 9:37 AM | Reply to this

Thank you! xD Yeah! I would totally love to see them on it for the UK tour and I know they have been on the cover before but every time they have been I've never got the issues on time ;(

but yeah i agree, different bands on the cover, how about a day to remember? or flyleaf or papa roach

Posted by nomnom | March 17, 2010 4:23 PM | Reply to this

Go away you me at six. There are so many uk bands out there that deserve the front cover for once.

Posted by Will | March 17, 2010 4:32 PM | Reply to this

Yay thanks for the article on Young Guns. Although it was small it was nice to find out how their debut album is coming along, which i cannot wait for by the way.

Why cant they get a good band in kerrang!?
looks like its another week im not buying it

Posted by Shona | March 17, 2010 4:47 PM | Reply to this

I totally agree. I saw LP in Edinburgh and the place was filled with screaming kids, fangirls and boys alike. So fucking annoying, the band were great as usual of course.
I'm going to see Madina Lake in April (don't judge me :P) and they have even more fangirls than LP, and Mayday Parade and We are the ocean are supporting so it will be like standing in a playpen with a million 5 year olds screaming and shouting....think I'll get very drunk first to have any chance of getting through without harming someone...:P
As for 30stm, i wanna like them, they have a couple of decent songs, but the fans put me off them more than Jared Leto...

Posted by Lee | March 17, 2010 6:03 PM | Reply to this

will be buying exclusively for emilie autumn & aiden. glad to see that girl getting more coverage in K! :)

Posted by charlotte | March 17, 2010 7:57 PM | Reply to this

I also agree. I went to see Nightwish last year and it was full of little screaming wannabies (You know, the really stupid ones who shave off their eyebrows and just draw ones on with eyeliner? Fail..) And they ruined it for me. It's been with almost all the gig's I've been to. 30 Seconds To Mars, Aiden (I was forced there, okay! XD) Nightwish...The only two that wasn't ruined by screaming fangirls was Tarja Turunen and Lacuna Coil.
Although you gotta give some teenagers credit. I'm just fifteen...very nearly sixteen, and I'm no screaming fangirl. I join along with the screaming against the other side thing. But it's just fun. 30STM and Aiden treated the croud like five year olds, but the other bands were fine.

*sighs* I do wish that some kids would learn that pushing someone out of the way to get to the front is not pleasent. I would just push them back and get back to my place. This is why I prefer to be at the barrier. At least there no one can pull me back because I literally super glue myself to the barrier when I get there.

Posted by Mia | March 17, 2010 10:46 PM | Reply to this

will you print good bands like Blink 182 , New Found Glory , The used etc ...Like Posters & shit make this magazine interesting again
how about those big massive posters you had before yes ?

Posted by candyfloss | March 18, 2010 12:13 AM | Reply to this

after reading several articles that have been put on here i think its time that people starting looking at other decent bands that are on offer at the minute instead of jumping from one bandwagon to another, just cos its cool to be seen liking the new best thing. There are so many bands that are still plugging away after many years, producing good music and playing reat live shows that dont get the recognition anymore, such as hundred reasons, inme, therapy, even electric six, these bands have worked on through the rises and falls of fame, unlike some of these new bands that will just sink without a trace, do yourselfs a favour and look back at some rock history and get associated with some bands that deserve some recognition, and if you can tell me some more bands then please do

Posted by dave gray | March 18, 2010 8:55 AM | Reply to this

is it me or over the past thew years kerrang has gone down hill it use to be full with metal and good bands now its all about promoting the shit out of crap bands such as you me a six - all time low- blackout- its the same fucking bands everything bloody time.... kerrang's changed
metal hammer never disapoint's tbh (Y)

Posted by cameron | March 18, 2010 11:08 AM | Reply to this

I went to see Lostprophets at Edinburgh too and although I'm only 14 I'm not a fangirl! There were so many drunk teens though and they were screaming in people's faces and were just generally being annoying :( But apart from that it was an amazing gig!

Posted by Carly | March 18, 2010 1:18 PM | Reply to this

I must, as a doctor, warn you against abusing solvents, Mia. Superglue is useful for mending broken porcelain, plastic, leather and even non-porous metals, but to literally superglue yourself to barriers at gigs must cause a great deal of inconvenience for staff and is a Health and Safety nightmare! Think of your health and the wellbeing of others, before you act so selfishly infuture.

On a lighter note, if you want to avoid screaming teenage fangirls - go and see real bands where screaming teenage fangirls don't make up the entire fanbase. In future, avoid Paramore, Fall Out Boy, 30 Seconds to Mars, Lost Prophets, Aiden, My Passion and anyone else who consist more of make-up, hair and skinny jeans than musicians.

Stay safe, and be healthy!

They used to feature a bit more variety was all. It wasn't the same bands week-in, week-out.

I'm not a metal fan particularly, but I used to get Kerrang religiously because they'd feature the Punk and rock bands that I loved.

I bought this week's edition for the Gaslight Anthem article, but there wasn't anything else in it for me to read at all.

Posted by Dr Hero van Wildebeest | March 18, 2010 1:49 PM | Reply to this

Hehe, bit off-topic but still in the same area -I passed time at work by making a "14 Year Old Fangirl Bands" playlist on my 'pod. Has 188 songs in it....out of about 3000 altogether mind but still, i was surprised that there was 188 songs in it >_>
Maybe i got can finally be the fanboy I've always aspired to be :D Yay!

...Don't do solvent abuse!

Posted by Lee | March 18, 2010 3:41 PM | Reply to this

Why thankyou, Dr Hero van Wildebeest. I won't be doing that again, thats for sure.
I'll just push away whoever pushes me back. It's alot of useful, I suppose.

I'll never see 30STM or Aiden again, they were both awful. And the rest of those awful pop-rock bands I can't even stand to hear on record, so I won't be abusing myself by listening to them.

Posted by Jessii-San | March 18, 2010 10:28 PM | Reply to this

Kerrang hasn't been a "metal" magazine in decades.

It features alternative music. If you're only interested in metal - not rock or punk or hardcore or any of the other alternative genres that should be in a magazine like Kerrang, then you're much better off with Metal Hammer.

the Lostprophets gig in margate was alright, there weren't too many screaming fangirls, just 1 tiny group of girls (about 6 or 7) and they were annoying but in general most of the kids were pretty alright. No hassle at all, especially around the mosh and they didnt try to push to the front they just let everything flow as it went along. One nice boy kept helping people up all the way through it. Maybe its just Thanet but the whole atmosphere was amazing. :)

Not piratse captain and miss Maggots however other than that we cannot fault the review and can't wait for EA's return to the U.K. Signed two insane fluffy plague rats!!! X

Oh, great you me at six..a fuckin gen

Never would have guessed it. Definately going to stick with rocksound and metal hammer. Least that way I dont have to see shit pop punk and 12 year olds floating around.

Kerrang, go back to pleasing your old school fans, not the young people that are growing up to what is 'in'at the minute. And trust me, the word 'in' is used very lightly!

Posted by laura | March 30, 2010 3:38 PM | Reply to this

Thank you for releasing this issue, Kerrang!, and including the review of EA's show. You helped me to get a letter from an idol: Veroncia Varlow (one of EA's Bloody Crumpets). But, next time, do your research. It's electric violin, not electric guitar. Also, it's not The Pirate Captain and somethingoranother Maggots; it's Captain Maggots. 1 person, not 2.
