I LOVE UR MAG!!!
I think its amazing how fully dedicated to the job u are. i love the way u help people of all ages become influnced by kerrang like me for instance. i used to be into dance music and dress in trackies all the time. now i love bands like bullet for my valentine as they have such a deep meaning to music and they seem so passionate to what they do. id like to say thank you for helping me see the light into what seems to be the best move ive made.

great issue i agree with most of the people in the feature but would have liked to see nikki sixx in there as he just kicks ass, i was reading this weeks issue while walking to college and had to realy laugh when i saw my performance teacher standing behind billie joe on stage with iggy pop at the waldorf, he was well chuffed when i showed him. keep it guys you rock :-) dan

ok ok, so i know shes new, exciting and shes got a good voice, but apart from that and 3 albums what has she accomplished?

I can see why Billie Joe got so many votes, because Green Day are legend, but why is Hayley Williams #2?? Just about everyone else in the Top Ten at least have achieved more in their careers than her. I also think that Amy Lee should have been placed higher, and that Chester Bennington and Matt Tuck should have been above Ian Watkins. And that Jared Leto should have been in the Top Five instead of Hayley. I know it was done by readers voting, but doesn't everyone on here just complain about Paramore all the time? I like them (I liked them before Twilight btw), but they're not an amazing, original band who'll live on forever. That's just my opinion.

Billie Joe certainly deserved to win. Green Day have had a huge influence over pop-punk in the nineties and in the 21st Century they exploded with two amazing albums. Billie Joe's lyrics in American Idiot especially have had such a huge message rebelling against the fucked up politics and for that I'd say that definitely made him the number one icon of the 21st Century. Thank you Kerrang! and everybody who voted for Billie for putting him first. It was quite satisfying to see the look on my friend's face - she had been rooting for Jared Leto.

I think it's pretty immature that a few people are actually insulting some of the people on the list. It could be any band that first got people into proper music, or done anything to make them feel like an icon to someone. You're being kinda fucking stupid and ignorant if you think that just because YOU don't like a band's music, it means the band hasn't inspired anybody and they don't deserve to be in the list. Actually Billie Joe and the rest of Green Day have done a helluva lot for music - they have 10 studio albums. Wtf has Chester Bennington done that's better than Billie Joe? He's just a clone of Bono and that's the end of it.

I was gutted that Billie Joe beat Hayley! He is a proper rolemodel and done some great things... But I don't exactly admire him that much, Hayley is my rolemodel, and I even done a homework project all about her!

Green day definatly deserve to have won, and i really dont care if you disagree.
They've had contributed greatly to music, and their live shows are so oustanding, you will walk away with a complete different prespective on gigs. Billie Joe has such a characteristic way of writing lyrics, and has a way of influncing you. Green day have totally shown everyone how s**t the world has become, and all these people who say woah ozzy was soo much better..yes they've done a lot for music, but not quite the same as billie Joe or Greenday...what is ozzy doing now..adverts for world of war craft. Billie joe builds houses for people who've lost theirs. Everyone is entitled to what they want to think, and if people have agreed billie joe is worthy of his place at number1 he deserves to be there..I love Greenday, and Billie Joe & Kerrang!

i am soo pleased that billie joe was placed at number 1 he truly deserves his lyrics and showmanship are what i live for and i love him loads!! but come hayley from paramore at number 2 she definetly shouldn't be higher than dave grohl!!

Honestly, the K! would make me almost as suicidal as listening to the preppy shit that they ram down your throats every week if it weren't for the odd few with good music taste (or not shit taste) - Flannigan and Connery. This excuse for a 'rock' magazine has become pathetic the last few years; it's honestly become the joke of (the still metal) MH. At least NME etc. are supposed to be for Indie etc etc, whereas K! is supposedly still a rock mag! Laughable.

I really don't agree with a lot Kerrang!'s list but I never expected that I would. We all have different music tastes, so obviously people will disagree with this. People need to just get over it and stop making such a big deal over nothing.
I could easily say that Hayley Williams does not deserve to be second since she hasn't actually done anything too incredible (IMO) except write plain lyrics and sing. It's just because she's mildly pretty that she gets any notice. However, there is no point in arguing. Just accept this and move on.

Just because Kerrang! Says this doesnt mean that you have to agree with it. If a band that you like isnt in the list then okay, doesnt mean their a shit band. And music evolves just like us and our world, music just wont stay the same.
