Metro Station split up!

Pop-rockers Metro Station, who are fronted by Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus's brother, Trace, have apparently split up.

According to US student website TheTowerlight.com, the band have cancelled their appearance at Baltimore's Tigerfest next month because their agent has told local promoters the band have split up.

Metro Station's label, Columbia, are yet to officially comment on the situation.

I'm personally really upset about Metro Station breaking up as I'd just ordered my tshirt from the Kerrang store because my mum washed it at the wrong temperature and it shrunk considerably.

Its a shame that they decided to call it a day before they were inducted into the rock n roll hall of fame and did a duet with Elton John at the Grammys. Oh well, I'm sure Trace will go it alone and become the new Ozzy Osbourne. I heard Velvet Revolver are looking for a new singer...

To be honest they were my favourite band so I'm kinda gutted :/
I hated them originally but listening to stuff OTHER than shake it, I got into them.
Agreed, they shouldn't realy be in Kerrang as it isn't there scene and I guess I can understand why you guys all hate the music, but they DO deserve more credit than you're giving them.
But agreeing with a lot of other comments, no, I don't think Trace can sing and everything Markos B is saying is complete dumbassery. Mason was the one with talent.

Anyhting to do with the Cyrus family needs to be massacred slowly and painfully. I hated Metro Station in the first place, but then i found out that the lead singer was miley cyrus's brother I almost died. I thought Kerrang! had finally lost it when they put them in, but then I had to realise that there are some mad people who love bands like JLS, *gags*. But not everyone is h=gona like the bands I like, like: MCR, As Blood Runs Black etc.

kerrang put polls in their magazine asking what other magazines we buy, where we shop for clothes, where we buy our CD's.

But all I have to say to you kerrang is that instead of looking at what people are buying these days, you should look at yourselves.

Your magazine sales are falling because you're selling out to scene kids, because posting news like this on a supposedly "heavy metal/rock" oriented website just shows how bad you're scraping the barrell to sell mags.

Maybe you should stop promoting bands like My Penis Passion that form so 14 year old scene girls can get off to them. Go back to the old K! where you gave GOOD bands interviews, gave honest album reviews and for fucks sake what are 30H3! doing on your tv station.

Everybody disses Kerrang for adding more pop music but tbh all of my friends and myself wouldn't watch/listen/read Kerrang because we are not into the heavier classic stuff. I did hate Metro Station but it's annoying when people compare them to the likes of Paramore and You Me At Six.I could understand if I liked JLS ect ect but I don't :/

Whats happened to Kerrang??..i have been buying Kerrang since i was 17 years old and i am in my late 30's now and to be honest...i dont buy it as much..if io wanted pop i would buy Smash Hits or some other crap...i love rock,i want to hear about rock..please go back to the old Kerrang..or you're gonna lose a lot of fans!!
