My Chemical Romance for Reading and Leeds?

Not going to any festivals as I can't afford them. But Blink are obvious for Reading and Leeds.

MCR, I like them..but they may get boo'd off.

Guns N' Roses..Well, y' know, Chinese Democracy wasn't bad but they'll turn up late and get bottled, Axl will have a strop and throw his toys out the pram.

Blink have been rumoured for ages, MCR i agree should not be headlining, i've seen them twice at reading and have been awful both times. and if GnR are then in all likelyhood i'll give the post headliner "festivities" a miss after being woken up at Download in 06 to the sound of attack dogs barking away. I'll just wait til the Lock-up is announced

bottled off? you are probably the same people that would rather go to Download or Sonisphere . I am going to Download this year so it isnt a knock on the festival, just some of the twats that give it a bad name by bottling bands that arent 'metulz' enough for them. Reading&Leeds is more of a mixture and indie thing, so if MCR are considered not metal enough for other fests then surely here they will atleast get a bit of respect seeing as there is a good bit of difference between bands like The Killers and Metallica , so i am sure they would do great and would actually make me interested in a ticket for once

hmm, not sure if mcr would headline, maybe main support, or headline the radio 1 stage. in recent years, former download headliners have headlined the radio 1 stage.

i personly think the 3 headliners would be GnR, Gorrilaz, and greenday.

blink will most probly play, i'd imagen they'd be main support to green day(if they were to headline) sound garden are also rumurd as in recent years reading have had a band that have recently reformed, eg, ratm, faith no more, pixies, smashing punpkins. but i guess that slot would be taken by blink.

They were a TRUE rock band with the line up prior to Slash and co. leaving. Nowadays it's Axl and pals. I love GN'R honestly and I'd go see them. But Axl doesn't give a shit. His heart and soul isn't in to it like Slash and co.'s are. Slash doesn't come on hours late because he gives a shit about his fans and the people who have paid money to see him in whatever form. I'd be chuffed if My Chem played because I haven#t seen them in over two years but I kinda really dislike GnR and I think Blink will be a let down :/ (please don't hurt me, just my opinion) but yeah if My Chem play then I may go.

I am a big fan of MCR and i'm going to Download this year and if MCR are doing Leeds then i'm off to that as well, i don't think bands should be bottled just coz you don't particulary like them, you would get pissed off if someone bottled your fav band so don;t do it to other peoples fav bands.

GnR aren't a bad live band when they're on form and i think they would be a great headliner. but no matter what happend at least it would be a memorble.

cast your mind back to download 2006, axel was such a dick. he complained that the floor to slippy, and went off stage for about ten mins, making the crowd bottle them, making the bass player have a strop when a bottle hit him.

...and 100% gonna go Reading if it were the original Guns N' Roses lineup, that is, Slash, Duff, Izzy, Steve Adler AND Axl, an individual that is pretty easy to form a hate-club against. But, he is still a respective, and arguably, important member of the true GN'R outfit.
If that is the case, and the organisers can pull a shot (ie. Pay them a shitload of money to reform and headline) I don't really give a flying toss who else is at the festival other than that.
£195, £500, fuck I'd pay a grand if I could witness them, together, playing Appetite For Destruction in its entirety- I wouldn't give a shit if they are all aging rockstars now, I'm sure a load of Guns fans would agree that if that could become true we would BE there!
Festival headliners are always gonna divide mixed reactions from fans, that's a given every year for Reading and Leeds every year. Why waste chucking your beer and spreading hate? Drink it up and party hard, that's the entire reason we're there, to enjoy music, wallow in our filth with our mates and have a good time.
