Slam Dunk announce more bands

Against Me!, Alkaline Trio and My Passion are just some of the bands who have been added to the line-up of this year’s Slam Dunk Festival.

They’ll join headliners New Found Glory at the two-day event, which will take place at University Of Hertfordshire, Hatfield on May 29 and Leeds University on May 30.

“We’re super excited to be coming over to play Slam Dunk,” Against Me! frontman Tom Gabel tells K!. “We haven’t played in the UK for almost two years now. We’re ready to rock!”

“We’re excited to play this festival as Leeds has always been great for the Trio!” adds Alkaline Trio frontman Matt Skiba.

“We’ve known about the festival for a while and have always wanted to play it,” says My Passion vocalist Laurence René.

“We’re not playing Leeds on the latest tour either so it will be great to play there, while the Hatfield day will be like a homecoming show for us. Hopefully it’ll be as crazy as the recent Kerrang! Tour!”
Also joining the bill are The Audition, We Are The Ocean, Rolo Tomassi and The Wonder Years.

Tickets from Slam Dunk cost from £25 and are on sale now from www.aloud.com. For full line-up details, see the Gig Guide.

Surely Alkaline Trio is the biggest news to come out of this, not some flash in the pan who'll be long forgotten in years to come (I'm looking at you, My Passion).

And Kerrang, you forgot Skindred!

yeah, i agree, alkaline Trio are bigger, better and worth the ticket price more than any of the bands announced there and i would go as far as to say best band of the whole lineup because i know i think they are better than NFG even. But it was a strong announcement, especially the addition of Skindred and The Audition on top of the already awesome Alkaline Trio addition

I'm getting my Alkaline Trio tickets for Glasgow first thing tomorrow and I'm still really excited by this. I'm travelling from Glasgow to Leeds for this and Alkaline Trio - my favourite band - being added to the bill makes it worth the cost / time alone.

Brilliant news!
