This Week's Essential Tracks!

DANIEL LIONEYE, I HAVE NEVER WANTED TO BE NUMBER ONE
A slice of dark, proggy rock from HIM guitarist Linde Lindström and keyboardist Burton Puurtinen’s side-project. Nice work, gentlemen.

SICK OF IT ALL, DEATH OR JAIL
They may be old enough to be Your Demise’s dads, but hardcore legends Sick Of It All still give any younger crew you’d care to name a spanking, as this new track proves.

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH, NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND
Another bruising metal tune from the FFDP chaps. The intro riff alone could shake your house to pieces if you’re not careful. You have been warned...

EVERY TIME I DIE, AFTER ONE QUARTER OF A REVOLUTION
Just check out the amount of stage diving in the video for this hardcore stormer! Recreate it at home by turning it up loud and hurling yourself at the sofa.

FLYLEAF, AGAIN
This has just gone top 10 in the U.S., and it’s not just because there’s loads of fire in the video. It’s because the chorus is bigger than the band's home State, Texas.

GLASSJAW, WOLFGANG
A live rendition of a new song from New York post-hardcore mob Glassjaw. This must mean that long-awaited third album is coming soon, right, guys?

FOUR YEAR STRONG, ON A SATURDAY

The forums at Punknews.org were slating Brian Fallon for sounding too much like Roger Daltrey on the Baba O'Reilly cover... at a Who tribute night.

What the hell!?

Watched this a few days ago on their site and it's a brilliant cover - the quality of the video being the only thing that lets it down.

Lets hope they play it in Glasgow in the Summer!

The Every Time I Die video is one of my favourites of all time. Total moshpit action. That's how it should be.
