Dir en grey announce headline show

Japanese megastars Dir en grey will play a one off headline show in London in August.

The band, who are also set to appear at the Sonisphere festival later this summer, will Play Koko on August 3.

"It's been awhile since our last headline show in London so you can expect as much as you want!" guitarist Kaoru. "We're looking forward to see our fans in the UK again and hopefully see some new faces who saw us on the Kerrang! Tour. Come and enjoy a performance that you can only experience at our headline shows!"

Tickets go on sale this Friday (April 30) at 9AM from www.aloud.com.

I want them to play pretty much everything from Uroboros, Saku, Child Prey, Zan, Agitated Scr- ARGH there's just so many. I'd be happy with them playing anything. :)

Any of these "old" songs will do for me: Kasumi, Umbrella or Fukai.

Vinushka and Inconvenient Ideal are a must.

And It'll be awesome if Namamekashiki and Kodou were in there as well :)

Btw, if I ask for Higeki wa mabuta (blahblah) I'll be considered a person of weird tastes? 'cause I LOVE that song :<

As for what I'd like to hear? Vinushka again, it made Download Festival for me. Obscure because they've played it at every show I've seen them at so far, and Child Prey merely because I'd love to seem them perform it live.

uroboros and and hageshisa to kono mune no naka de karamitsuita shakunetsu no yam, just that and maybe macabre (although is kind of old, the way they played it during weal or woe was perfect) oh and dead tree... you know what? play whatever you want to play otherwise there will be fans asking for songs like yokan, raison de etre, kr cube or garden (for fuck's sake really? garden?) that just don't fit with the current Dir en grey at all, unless they do a remake like they did to hydra...

Ive dir en grey 5 times now and never got to see Audience Killer Loop, that would be cool.

Some of the songs people are asking for here are absolutaly ridiculous as they simply dont fit into their current theme / genre.

I've got my tickets, cannot wait until August now.
I was excited about Sonisphere festival before this, but this show is gonna totally be something else.

I've seen hundreds of bands over the years, but still, nothing compares to the atmosphere at a Dir en grey headliner.

Have any of you seen their recent shows? They perform their newer stuff so well! As such, I'd like to see anything from Uroboros and The Marrow Of A Bone, although a few tunes from Vulgar or Withering To Death wouldn't go amiss!

Especially looking forward to:

Obscure (the way they perform it nowadays is immense!)

Dozing Green
Conceived Sorrow
Grief
Bugaboo
Doukoku to Sarinu
The Deeper Vileness

And definitely the new single Hageshisa (etc.)

koko is pretty small but a great venue! i will deffo go if i can get enough money, i'm skint at the moment aha and play some older stuff please, love the newer stuff too but nothing beats some great old tunes :)

I just want to see Dir en Grey one more time but, my dream is to hear Ain't afraid to die (the 1st Dir en Grey song I've heard) and Mushi.

I'm living in Japan now and I'll just get back to France when I'm coming to London.

We are going to Sonisphere in UK specially for Diru, and to the London show! Can't miss a thing...
all of your songs are superb... but the ones that 've heard first were Bugaboo and Vinushka... really hope to hear them live
