Avenged Sevenfold - WORLD EXCLUSIVE FIRST INTERVIEW!

When Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan died suddenly at the end of 2009, Avenged Sevenfold were left devastated and unsure of their future. Five months on, in this week's Kerrang! magazine frontman M. Shadows and guitarist Synyster Gates talk for the first time about the hell the band have been through and discuss their forthcoming album, Nightmare.

Looks great, but was hoping there'd be reviews of Pendulum and Sabaton's new albums given that they're out next week, but least there's Soulfly :)

I think this is the best issue that Kerrang has produced for a while! There's an exclusive interview with A7X, posters with Ozzy, MCR, GNR, Metallica, Slipknot & Pantera, while also a mention of Slayer, Korn and Soulfly!

You guys certainly did well in this issue and I love the array of music types that this issue sports! Well done!

I was just a little disappointed that Paramore is going to be mentioned yet again (even if it's a small mention). Yeah, I do like the band quite a bit but I'm getting fed up of seeing them in your mag week after week. I guess it can't really be helped though because the article is actually about Bamboozle.
Okay I'll stop complaining. /rant

Wow. This issue looks amazing. I love Avenged Sevenfold, they're my favourite band, so I'm definitely getting this. The posters are pretty good too! :D

Was there cover issue not enough? Saw them with Kill Hannah and they were shocking

This is an amazing issue K!
Avenged Sevenfold are my favourite band so to have downloaded their new single yesterday and have this interview to read today is just epic.

I'm so happy they continued putting Nightmare together in Jimmy's memory and I can't wait to hear it :) I don't think July can come soon enough to be honest

This issue is epic and i have read some of it already and it is amazing
posters are awesome and just read about Avenged Sevenfold and them thinking of giving up after Jimmy's death and i am glad they carried on because their music is the best. But i understand why they did that.

I feel so bad for Avanged because of the death of The Reverend but I'm happy that they came out with the new album Nightmare for The Reverend.

Avenged sevenfold are my favourite band ever and im so glad the guys have got things back up and running. But they must have been devastated when The Rev died. I cried for weeks. Im also a drummer and he really inspired me. Avenged's new single is awesome and i cant wait for the new album!

I cannot wait for their album to come out , i feel strongly about the passing of the rev and i still havent got over what happened, avenged sevenfold have always been my favorite band ebver since the first album, & I'll be with them all the way. I read the new interview in this weeks kerrang and i cried my eyes out as I read it. I've partied for The Rev , i've had lots of drinks for him , and i can still not forget how i felt the day i heard about his death. It's never going to be the same , he was ausome. There is not a day that goes by where i don't think of the band/the terrible passing of The Rev , I hope the band picks up the strenght to do shows again and spreads The Revs songs and lyrics out to the world ! , R.I.P The Rev <3 A7X FOREVER!

I'm soooo glad they have done an album.
Been listening to nightmare none stop and Jimmy's spirit is is for definate.
I'm so proud of them.
I was moved to tears when I read their interview.
We'll be behind the guys no matter what they edecided to do. We're one big family and we'll stand by each other no matter what comes to pass.
I know for sure the new album will be uhmazing but no one will replace Jimmy. Memonries of him flood my mind each tie I listen to them. A7X really do deserve my award for sticking together no matter what.

Not a great issue for me. You haven't really mentioned many bands I liked, so I had to skip out of buying the mag this week, which I usually look forward too. Better luck next week, huh?

can we please have an AFI poster special? On the review of Crash Love it said they deserve more recognition, so if that's what you believe, then give them it!!! and try to get a picture of davey shirtless. Oh yeah, and get a headline feature out of them. Im fed up with paramore and you me at six.

hey kerrang i get this mag almost every week i love it but this issue is by far the best one in my collextion!
