Mastodon have been forced to cancel their European tour plans as guitarist Bill Kelliher has been diagnosed with pancreatitis.
The band were due to kick off their month-long stint at Rock Am Ring at Nuremburgring, Germany on June 5.
"He has been advised by doctors to continue further medical treatment," says a spokesperson for the band. "Bill's medical team are optimistic and expect a full recovery in the weeks ahead."
The guitarist hopes to be well enough for the BlackDiamondSkye U.S. tour with Deftones and Alice In Chains in September.
