Dimmu Borgir get set for ambitious new album

Dimmu Borgir have unveiled details of their ambitious forthcoming album.

In addition to working with composer Gaute Storaas, the Norwegian symphonic black metallers have invited the 51-strong Kork orchestra and the Schola Cantorum Choir to record parts on their ninth studio album.

The as-yet-untitled follow-up to 2007's In Sorte Diaboli will be released on October 11 through Nuclear Blast.

Fuck me that sounds awesome, I hope their new Bassist has a decent voice, it would be a shame to miss the operatic vocals off the new record.

Agreed. In Sorte Diaboli kicked all kinds of ass, will be difficult to top - though if anyone can, its Dimmu Borgir!
