Serj Tankian gets set for new album

Serj Tankian is currently putting the finishing touches to his forthcoming album Imperfect Harmonies.

"[This album] could be classified as rock because it is punchy with many peaks throughout, but the instrumentation is somewhat different," says Serj. "Though there are live drums, bass, and some guitars, the driving aspects are electronic and orchestral. This is, in essence, music that has sat in the vat and matured to a ripe sensation and is now ready to serve!"

Sounds tasty.

The album will be released in September through Serjical Strike/Reprise Records.

Hey,
Serj is just as awesome solo as with SOAD! Please dont insult him, he is genius. Oh and Scars is also as good as SOAD, daron isn't lost in drugs and serj isn't soft on his own, they're both awesome!

Anyone that slags off Serj is a fucking lunatic. What Serj is doing is fucking great so shut the hell up and appreciate that as a solo artist he can do what he wants. I LOVE SERJ!

Serj is doing really well for himself, he's an inspiring solo Artist.
He's got a great talent and loves making music.
It might of been a change but even if SOAD were to get back together it wouldn't feel the same.
Can't wait to hear the new album I'm a strong fan of System of a Down, Serj and his solo work. :}
