Gustav Wood: "I feel like a proud father"

Young Guns frontman Gustav Wood says he feels like a "proud father" now that his band's debut album, All Our Kings Are Dead has been released.

"It is a huge relief to have the album on the shelves and on the online stores," Wood tells Kerrang!.

"There were so many moments when today seemed like an impossibility, or a day that would never actually arrive," he added. "We just tried to write the best album we could, now it's here and I just hope that people like it! I feel like a proud father!"

All Our Kings Are Dead was released today (Monday, July 12) through Live Forever / PIAS.

Gus is right to be proud. The album is incredible. I have had it on repeat since the moment my pre-order arrived on Saturday and i still can't stop listening to it!
It perfectly shows how diverse Young Guns are and that they deserve all the praise and success they get.
They are the nicest band i know when it comes to talking to fans on and off the internet.
This is why they remain as my favourite band and will be for a very long time.
Thank you Kerrang! for introducing me to this amazing band :) xxxxxx

Gustav Wood "in action" on the Centenary Square stage during Birmingham's Artsfest 2010.

From the moment Gustav skidded onto the stage it was clear this would be a high energy performance. Gustav and the band did not disapoint. :-)
