R-Patz slams Courtney Love over Nirvana movie

Twilight star Robert Pattinson has slammed Kurt Cobain's widow, Courtney Love, after she suggested he was the wrong choice to play her late husband in an upcoming film of his life.

Initial rumours of Pattinson's involvement in Fight Club director David Fincher's film, All Apologies, surfaced in April when a source close to Love told The Sun that "Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop [about being in the film]."

Later that day, Love's manager Jonathan Daniel, told Spin "That's an amazing story, and the first I've heard of any of this", while Love herself added via her Twitter "That's so stupid, who would cast him? That's just wrong."

"Sometimes these things just appear [in the press]," R-Patz told The Mirror. "I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much - I'd be embarrassed to play Kurt."

"You see all these comments, like from Courtney Love saying 'What the fuck! He's totally wrong for it, and I'm like 'I fucking said no, you dick!' I didn't get offered it," he added. "For one thing, I'm too tall, and I can't sing like him. I'm nothing like him. It's ridiculous."

I love our society, where it's an amazing idea to glorify a known drug addict who would probably be alive if he weren't on drugs/with an asshole of a wife. Clearly fame wasn't for the singer, but if he had a better outlet than cocaine and all that other shit - he probably would have just decided to not make music anymore, not...you know, the other thing. I love Nirvana (clearly just like anyone else) but, seriously. A movie. What did he do? He didn't change the course of history and he didn't touch too many lives. And he was on drugs most of his adult life! How is that worthy of a biopic. I don't get it.

what is up with people totally bumming Kurt Cobain? Dave Grohl was the best thing to come from Nirvana, he completely owns Kurt, he is overrated in my opinion, and i do like Nirvana.

You DO understand that at the time of his sparkling, he was just playing a role, right? You ARE aware of the fact he, himself, does not sparkle? I'd just like to get that point across. Saying things like 'Robert shouldn't play Kurt because Kurt never sparkled' is a completely arragont and invalid argument. Establish a more sustainable argument, please.

Jared Leto should play Kurt IMO, he was brilliant in Requiem For A Dream playing a fucked up heroin addict, looks the part aswell. Only person that comes close that's well known.

Courtneys right, he is wrong for the part, hes not right for it. someone who really knows there stuff about nirvana should play him not some faggy vampire kid who sings really badly. Pattinson has played other roles than that vampire in Twilight but he isn't a talented actor. He got the part in Twilight because he was in Harry Potter. He got the part in that other film because he was in Twilight.

Both Love and Pattinson are as bad as each other.
