YES!

I was fearful that they'd leave out their old classics like Dumpweed and Don't leave me!

That is pretty much a perfect set right tharr. =P

Is that 'Stockholm Syndrome' a Muse cover, or the original that was then COVERED by Muse, or do they just share the same name?

Posted by Elliot | August 18, 2010 5:26 PM | Reply to this

fuck!!! this looks amazing. I hope its the same for the Dublin show! I might just cry. Might? who am I kidding?

Posted by kathleen | August 18, 2010 5:32 PM | Reply to this

its just the same song name. very different songs.

Posted by ash | August 18, 2010 5:32 PM | Reply to this

Elliot you plum, Muse never covered a song called Stockholm Syndrome, and if your saying they stole the name, Absolution came out before Blinks self-titled. God Forbid covered Muse's SSyndrome though.

Posted by CJ | August 18, 2010 5:41 PM | Reply to this

Nah dude. Same name. Blink 182 would never be able to cover a Muse song. Muse is too good

Posted by Tommy | August 18, 2010 5:51 PM | Reply to this

I was there last night it was good but the sound was shit. Couldnt really hear toms voice. Shitty SECC

Posted by Dave | August 18, 2010 5:52 PM | Reply to this

Dave you must be deaf, I could hear Tom's voice very clearly.. but the SECC is known for shit sound.

Oh and on the Glasgow setlist there was also Violence.

Posted by Aiden | August 18, 2010 6:08 PM | Reply to this

At the Glasgow show they switched whats my age again for violence

Posted by Colin | August 18, 2010 6:18 PM | Reply to this

Nah they played Whats My Age Again :)

Posted by Aiden | August 18, 2010 6:46 PM | Reply to this

AHAHAHAHA tommy did u say muse were good! have you had your ears tested recently??? if blink play this setlist at reading i will be mega happy! only other song id like to see them play is another girl, another planet!

Posted by thecuz | August 18, 2010 7:13 PM | Reply to this

I was at the concert last night at the SECC and Blink were very poor. They didn't sound good at all and it has nothing to do with the venue just that Blink were nothing but ropey. The best days are past Blink.

Posted by Love Boat | August 18, 2010 7:50 PM | Reply to this

Stockholm Syndrome by Muse wasn't a cover dude.

Posted by Ash | August 18, 2010 8:01 PM | Reply to this

Well I think about 10,000 people would disagree with you. I don't know what band you were watching.

Posted by Aiden | August 18, 2010 9:00 PM | Reply to this

Sorry but seriously - who gives a toss? Godfathers of pop-punk? Really? I mean REALLY?

No by the way.

Saw them at Aberdeen on Monday, they were amazing full of energy and just wow

Posted by Tammy | August 18, 2010 11:10 PM | Reply to this

blink 182 were incredible at the secc. they've grown up a bit, i must admit but c'mon who cares, they are icons when it comes to musical history and no one can deny that weather or not you hate them. Travis came all the way over to europe on a boat because of the plane crash, thats dedication. So it's obvious they love they're fans. Their music is amazing, live or not. Beleive me they could have been a lot worse. And they're funny and energetic on stage. Lets face it, be greatful.. blink might not have got back together.

Last night was the best night of my life, and Blink are my heros, they better come back END OF.

Posted by john | August 19, 2010 2:26 AM | Reply to this

@ John.......no Travis came over on a bout not because of dedication........he's afraid next time he wont be soo lucky :P.

Posted by Talie | August 19, 2010 12:35 PM | Reply to this

@Elliot
nah the blink stockholm syndrome and muse stockholm syndrome are two different songs

Posted by Em234 | August 19, 2010 12:48 PM | Reply to this

It's a pretty sheltered life you have led if the best night of your life is a Blink 182 concert and not even a good Blink 182 concert. I was there and I know that they weren't good. Tom 's voice sounded terrible. I am by no means a hater, I do like Blink but live they just don't cut it.

Posted by Milky | August 19, 2010 2:37 PM | Reply to this

they played Violence aswell

Posted by Mark Anderson | August 19, 2010 3:27 PM | Reply to this

i went to the aberdeen gig on monday, it was awesome! i met mark hoppus, he came out with a camera guy handin out stickers and signing stuff... plus i was 15ft away from tom delonge and was part of a crowd shot pic that was in the local paper Evening Express the following day! hows that for epicness!!!!!!!!!!!! XD

Posted by mark | August 19, 2010 3:56 PM | Reply to this

I dont know how anyone could say they were shite at the secc, yes the venues sound is crap but the band were spot on IMO. Can't wait until they come back.

i was at blink in glasgow, best gig in my life by my fav band, all u people who were there and siad it was shite, were u actually there?

Posted by Michelle | August 20, 2010 1:41 AM | Reply to this

hey, blink.... newcastle much? -.-

Posted by gaff :) | August 20, 2010 12:26 PM | Reply to this

Blink were UNREAL at glasgow. Tom's voice and playing weren't great but I love him still. Mark and travis were off the fucking chain. Definitely a great gig, even if it was crawling with 14 year old versions of hayley williams/people who haven't heard anything other than all the small things and feeling this. :)
What's my age again was incredible.

Posted by Cal182haha | August 20, 2010 10:13 PM | Reply to this

@Cal182haha

That's some serious prejudice right there.

I'm barely 16, and I know their entire back catalogue. Don't assume every teen there with a fiery haircut only knows the popular stuff.

Posted by John T | August 21, 2010 2:58 PM | Reply to this

Why are they not doing any non-festival gigs besides scotland? Dammit, i hate england.

Posted by BD | August 21, 2010 5:57 PM | Reply to this

They just share the same name- completely different songs ;-)

Posted by Heather | August 22, 2010 3:11 PM | Reply to this

seen them in glasgow on the 17th... best fucking night of my life!!! the setlist was awesome.. whole crowd went mental!!

Posted by peter | August 22, 2010 8:03 PM | Reply to this

DUDE !! are you fucking deaf.. blink were awesome, they sang perfectly man

Posted by peter | August 22, 2010 8:07 PM | Reply to this

Peter, are YOU deaf? Tom CAN'T sing perfectly. He has a terrible voice, even when it isn't through the shitty SECC sound-system.

I'm a big Blink fan and saw them three times before they split - y'know, back when they were actually good and still relevant? Even at those shows, in better venues, they didn't sound very good. Their songs are great, but Tom's vocals are weak at the best of times. Heard recordings of the Glasgow show and it sounded just like they did the last time they played there.

Posted by Dr Hero van Wildebeest | August 23, 2010 12:30 PM | Reply to this

Finally somebody is talking some sense here. Well said Dr Hero. I was at the gig and it wasn't great. I have seen them on more than one occasion and each time I left the venue disappointed. I am not a hater of Blink by any means, songs like Untitled, voyeur, Adams song will always be great but live they can't make it work. I held out hope that after their hiatus they would have come back stronger and better, sadly not the case. Tom's voice live is always just terrible. I imagine I have angered a few people with this post but I was there so my opinion is valid. Also its a bit sad if the best night of your life is a Blink 182 concert. Suggests you don't really go to many concerts when you make that statement or even have an exciting life.

Posted by Love Boat | August 23, 2010 4:10 PM | Reply to this

@CJ, I was just asking, that's all. My knowledge of Blink-182 is limited to their biggest songs, namely All The Small Things, Whats My Age Again, Damnit, First Date and the one with the video where they give away all that money. See, I don't even know the name :P.

So when I saw Stockholm Syndrome on their setlist I just enquired, cause I knew Muse did a song with the same name but not Blink. Although, I've never been called a plum before :P

Posted by Elliot | August 25, 2010 10:07 AM | Reply to this

Cal182haha your contadicting yourself there! Whats my age again is one of there biggest hits, off their most poppiest record, which sold the most! You sound like the scene kid to me mate! Try listening to some vintage blink! Cheshire cat, dude ranch!

Posted by a | August 25, 2010 2:42 PM | Reply to this

@ Love Boat.
Don't you think its a little harsh calling them sad because it was the best night of their lives? I mean it doesnt really matter if they go to alot of concerts, its just obvious that they really really enjoyed it. Thats not sad, thats living.

Posted by Green Giant | August 25, 2010 4:02 PM | Reply to this

im goin to their gig in dublin too :) i hope they do adams song too though!

Posted by derrick | August 27, 2010 1:34 AM | Reply to this

OMG could not be more excited for Dublin right now! Pretty sure that this is the same setlist, if not v v v similar to the one they played in 2005 in Dublin! Awesome night! Bring on Tuesday :D:D:D

Posted by Nu | August 27, 2010 11:53 AM | Reply to this

I stand by my comment that if a Blink 182 concert is the best night of your life then it is sad. Not harsh, just pointing out the obvious.

Posted by Love Boat | August 27, 2010 1:36 PM | Reply to this

Well why is it sad?

Posted by Green Giant | August 27, 2010 1:38 PM | Reply to this

It's sad that nothing else monumental has happened in their life other than seeing a second rate live performance from Blink 182. That is what you call a sheltered life.

Posted by Love Boat | August 28, 2010 11:00 AM | Reply to this

I see your point, but people have different views on concerts. It might not have been perfect to other people, but it was perfect for them.

Posted by Green Giant | August 28, 2010 2:40 PM | Reply to this

Cannot wait for the Dublin gig! It's gonna be awesome!

Posted by Effy | August 30, 2010 12:19 AM | Reply to this

I don't care what some arseholes are saying, I saw Blink at Leeds fest and thought they were awesome! Travis is one of the best drummers in the world and Tom fucking up just made them, as a band, more endearing, if you want to hear a note perfect rendition of the hits go and buy a best of album or better still go and jump off a cliff. I thought they were perfect and so up for a laugh, Mark even said that Travis was the only talented member of the band.. just shows how down to Earth he is! Okay, rant over :')

Posted by Sophie | August 30, 2010 6:05 PM | Reply to this

Just saw them at Reading fest and altho i've never really listened extensively to them i thought they were very good live. All 3 of them had a great chemistry with each other and the crowd and the songs were all played really well.

You cant hate something if you've never seen it and i highly doubt many of you haters have actually seen them live...
