Fear Factory survive bus fire

Industrial metallers Fear Factory's UK tour ended in disaster this morning as their tour bus caught fire.

The band, who were lucky to make it out of the vehicle alive, were en route from a gig in Sheffield to a London airport when their driver noticed smoke coming from the back wheel of the bus at approximately 3:30AM.

"He tried to extinguish it but the flames were too much," said guitarist Dino Cazares. "Everyone was woken up by one of our crew yelling get everyone up and out of the bus. Everyone grabbed there bags and ran off the bus . We stood on the Side of the [motorway] going 'thank god we all made it out'.

"Some of us lost wallets , money, computers etc. but that's not important compared to our lives," he adds. "It only took about 20 to 30 minutes for the bus to be completely covered in flames. The fire trucks and the police finally arrived but it was too late to save anything on the bus . We found out early this morning the bus is just a metal frame on the side of the road . They had to scrape up what was left of the bus from the road because it melted into the pavement!"

Do half of the people who use this site even know who Fear Factory are?
Just to let everyone know, they don't have fringes and won't be playing Slam Dunk any time soon.

Shut up about bowling for soup, they are great, this band could have died, which I'm happy they didn't. You shouldn't want anyone to die that way as I doubt you would want to yourself.

Lol dude i dislike bowling for soup too.....................but they don't need to die O.o

I find the picture of Dino Cazares huddling by the side of the road in his PJ's rather...disturbing.

Don't flame me, I'm the biggest Fear Factory fan in the world.

And no, they didn't lose their gear.

they don't put equipment (guitar amps, guitars etc.) on their tour bus, so no i don't think they lost any of it. :) but then again they could probably replace in two days anyway lol :-)
