It's official: My Chemical Romance have completed work on the follow up to 2006's The Black Parade.
Video footage of frontman Gerard Way speaking at last month's Comic-Con convention in San Diego, California has made it online, and in the clip below, the singer says he's exited because My chemical Romance have "finished recording the album."
"It's the second attempt at the album," he added, "and we're really happy with it."

The as-yet-untitled album will be released later this year through Warner Bros.
Warner confirmed it would be out in Autumn this year a few weeks ago, promotion hasn't started yet which is slightly worrying do. Hoping they've come through on their promise not to make The Black parade p.2, never did like that album much.
Loving the nerd clothes, don't blame him for the hair change/weird Hawaiian shirt, California is fucking atm. Jesus

Great news. But this is a few weeks old...
Those who were asking about Gerard's hair, he did say that it was just a costume.
And I doubt that it will be out this Autumn. Warner Brothers just said "Expect MCR's new album in Autumn!"

its been too long to be honest, havent they been promising a album for almost two years now? my money is still on My Passion getting their album out before My Chem.
i mean its taken MCR almost 2 years of promises and three or four years since the last album and My Passion and other bands just months to get an album written, recorded and mixed.
i understand they all have families and other stuff to cope with (i.e Gerards previous throat problems and Bob's departure) but come on, if a smaller band can get their album sorted in such a short amount of time why cant a bigger band??

Someone said Waaay up there ^ that MCR shouldn't have taken this long because similar bands can put out an album in a couple months. That's where the bands differ: MCR dont make albums just to do it, they want to have something to say with each. True, when they started it last year, it was to make the fans happy and they didnt have big inspirations. Gerard even admitted that the fame and money had gotten to his head and he seperated himself from the fans. But he had a friend (most likely Bob) remind him why the band was ever started. So I have totally believe that it'll rock and be soo worth the wait! I haven't "lost the faith" and have no plans of ever doing so. MCfuckinRMY soldier for life <3

to the person bitching that it has taken them 4 years to make this album....it's called patience! if a band take their time over an album, so be it! at least you know then it wasn't rushed out and released to applease the popular market at the time. i'm suprised MCR still have fans, a four year wait for an album?!i figured after 4 minutes of waiting all the tweeny followers would have found another flavour of the month band to obsess over.is that why paraBore are popular?!!!!

This is great news, i'm so looking forward to this album. It's been a long wait, so it better be worth it. But hey, this is My Chemical Romance we're talking about, of course it will be worth it.

Loving the hair (looks a little like Leonardo DiCaprio about 10 years ago... yum yum!) but God that shirt is awful.
Looks aside, I'm really pleased the new album is nearly here. With the amount of time they've spent on it it should be awesome but it's always difficult to follow a hugely successful album with another even more successful one so we'll just have to wait and see.
