30 Seconds To Mars walked away with the gong for Best Rock Video for Kings And Queens at last night's MTV VMA Awards which were held at Nokia Theater in Los Angeles.
The LA trio managed to fend off tough competition from Paramore who were nominated in the same category for their 2009 single, Ignorance.
In related news, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams' collaboration with rapper B.o.B., Airplanes, lost out to Lady Gaga and Beyonce's Telephone in the Best Collaboration category and Lady Gaga's Bad Romance in the Video Of The Year category.
British rockers Muse were rock's other big winners on the night, walking away with the award for Best Special Effects for Uprising.
