No Irish date as per usual >.>
Love how so many bands remember Ireland is a country...

boring announcement for such a build up!

@Rebekkah

UK tour, not UK and Ireland tour. If it makes you feel any better, there's no Welsh love either.

And only one Scottish venue.
Not much of a "UK" tour if you ask me.

Well, I'd kill to see Coheed And Cambria, but playing with Deftones makes me go Meh about it.

Posted by AlmostNakedAbe | September 6, 2010 9:22 PM | Reply to this

Well, Iv never really given Deftones a proper so, but I went flipping mental when I heard this! I need to see Coheed again!!!

Oh, Coheed's a support act....Well, I'm not missing them again!! bloody love new black rainbow album!!

Pity about Ireland. More of an England-oops-I-got-lost-in-Scotland tour...
Than a UK tour. =/

Posted by George Buxey | September 6, 2010 10:08 PM | Reply to this

Why is it every tour announcment comes with the usual "Why no xxx". Seriously.

They can't play everywhere
You wont all get to see them.
Get over it.

kerrang tweeted all night keeping us guessing over this, and its just a tour, one with no welsh dates aswell. dont waste my time k!

Posted by disgruntled welshman | September 6, 2010 10:18 PM | Reply to this

Only one Scottish date and fuck me what a surprise its Glasgow,AGAIN. Ive got nothing against Glasgow but most big metal acts dont/wont bother playing anywhere else in Scotland. I live in Inverness and we get FUCK ALL decent metal acts up here, were lucky if we get one or two big name metal acts a year. KERRANG get your arses up here with some bands.

Only one Scottish date and as per fookin usual its Glasgow again, shite crack. Kerrang get your arse up to Inverness with some bands.

Ok, this had made my day.

Have an absolute admiration for Coheed so I will most definatly be going the London date.
I haven't really heard a lot of Deftones stuff and while I might not be their biggest fan, I am up for seeing them too. Looks set to be bloody epic!
Tour of the year? Could be... ;)

Posted by JoNnY | September 6, 2010 10:48 PM | Reply to this

This'll be awesome! I've not heard Deftones much, but from what I can tell, their sound will mesh well with Coheed.

No Cardiff Date! What!! Deftones are one of my favourite bands , That sucks!

Posted by max | September 7, 2010 3:59 AM | Reply to this

pretty miffed there's no Newcastle date. Ah well, off to Leeds it is!

Posted by biggayal | September 7, 2010 9:08 AM | Reply to this

There's NO welsh date as there is NO good size welsh venue!

Posted by steve | September 7, 2010 10:46 AM | Reply to this

steve is an idiot, because he's probably never been to Wales, the C.I.A in Cardiff is massive, and lots of huge bands have played there previously like trivium and 30stm.

Sometimes bands do grace us with a Welsh date but it is very rare

Posted by steve | September 7, 2010 11:48 AM | Reply to this

Hm, I'm tempted by the London date, even though its mid week.
I'll be at the bar during Coheeds pointless widdling. So good times still.

Posted by Gary | September 7, 2010 11:51 AM | Reply to this

I have to agree thats its a shame there's no welsh date. Im very happy to travel to Bristol for gigs as its only an hour away, but there's not even a date there on this tour.

For the idiot who said there's no suitable venues, he's obviously never been the great hall @ Cardiff UNI or the Newport Centre . (The CIA maybe a little too big)

Posted by I was There | September 7, 2010 12:05 PM | Reply to this

the reason bands dont go to wales is because it is a horrible stinking hell hole.

Posted by wales is shit | September 7, 2010 12:38 PM | Reply to this

Tours all go off sale figures, so if you don't buy owt then they won't come to you. And don't moan and say "i buy it" cos no band is gonna setup a date for only you!!!

Posted by CJ | September 7, 2010 4:02 PM | Reply to this

why are your people so miserable

Posted by Ireland Sucks | September 7, 2010 5:20 PM | Reply to this

While I sympathise with those who don't have a date near them, I'm often in the situation where my favourite bands don't come anywhere near where I live - sure, I live and work not too far from Leeds, so I don't have it so bad - but if there's no Yorkshire date, do I moan and complain like hell? No.

Either fork out for the travel if you're such a huge fan, or save your money and wait for the next one. I've waited for years to see Wino play in one of his many bands (Saint Vitus/Shrinebuilder/The Obsessed, etc.). Now I've got not one, but three chances to see him in the next few months? See how it works out?

Posted by Peter | September 7, 2010 5:22 PM | Reply to this

I think I may be the only person on here who loves both these bands. I may be in the minority but soooo happy, think I just peed myself a little........................

Coheed and Cambria supporting Deftones...

I didn't realise they were announcing the results for Biggest Joke of 2010?
