Madina Lake release new single

Madina Lake have made their new single, They're Coming For Me, available for download from iTunes.

The track, which is set to feature on the as-yet-untitled follow-up to last year's Attics To Eden, was the last track the band recorded with bassist Matthew Leone before he was viciously attacked.

"On June 20th, this song was ready to be recorded in The Attic, our Chicago rehearsal spot," wrote singer Nathan Leone in an email to fans. "Dan tracked drums and Mateo did the programming and guitar parts. On June 21st, Matthew and I recorded the chorus vocals. June 26th, Matthew recorded his bass parts. Later that night, Matthew was unconscious in the hospital, looking like we were losing him. Fast forward to now... We got the song mixed and mastered and here it is!"

I love this song. It's one of the best they've done. It's so emotional. Their sound has changed but I still admire it, it sounds more like the stuff from their first album FTTUTY. The lyrics are so beautiful and the whole song is breath taking. The fact that Matthew tracked the bass just before the attack, makes it even more heartbreaking. I love this band, and I love this song. I am so proud of them.

They're coming for me is one amazing song. The lyrics are written beautifully. It is very strange how the track was completed the day before everything that happened to matthew, for this reason the song is extremly emotional and moving.

I like Maidna's Lake music but seriously...why does he keep having to refer to his brother :( it seems like he's only uping the publicity of what happened. Good band tho.

Matthew Leone is without a doubt, an amazing person.

But, this music sucks more balls than Zoeoeh and Hannah [007 Bond] combined.

Erm, 'Jack', can I just say they are not and will never use what happened to matthew to get publicity..
Anyway this song is amazing, they've done so well. <3
Also, kerrang, the track is gonna be on 'The Dresden Codex' which isnt 'as-of-yet-untitled'. :)

Jack, He's not trying to up the publicity here. He isn't referring to his brother in this song. The lyrics were written before the incident. It's just a weird occurrence.

And Allah, if you don't like it, don't listen to it. I've spoke to that amazing person, and he couldn't give a crap whether people like his music or not.

ermm
rachel

clearly its NOT going to be on Dresden, or they would've said, it'll be on Dresden.
Jesus, I absolutely LOVE madina lake, but some fans (not you rachel) are just pathetic.
i think people REALLLLLLY go a bit too far sometimes...

The song was written and tracked before the attack on Matthew so how could it be for publicity?

Posted by Hannah | September 1, 2010 3:39 PM | Reply to this

Rob, It is on Dresden. Madina Lake said it was from Dresden.

look on pledge music for their update.

They keep referring to his brother because yeah he may be in hospital but he would be mentioned none the less. Anyways they mention him because FANS want updates because they worry and care about Matthew. I havent heard it yet but no doubt it will be as amazing as the rest of their songs. I saw madina lake in april and they were amazing. They are absolutely amazing and that band is my inspiration. And their strength through everything they have been through and the recent tradgedy. So yeah it is on Dresden :) <3 loves

Aww, love this new song, the new sound of the band is very different but i love it none the less. Saw Madina live in March, best night of my life (so far). Can't wait for the new album, i'm a little confused though... is it The Dresden Codex or World War III? n_n

Also, please can someone explain to me: Whats the difference between an EP and an album? Thanx n_n

Posted by blackwolf | September 2, 2010 5:42 PM | Reply to this

i seriously adore madina lake. i love how they have moved around to find a sound that they feel is right, and even though this song is for sure different i love it :)

WW3 is going to be worth the wait!

Whats the difference between an EP and an album?

Posted by Sean | September 2, 2010 8:22 PM | Reply to this

@Sean

EP's generally just consist of about 4-6 tracks, they're basically like a mini album. EP = Extended play

Thank you, have been wondering that for a while because hae seen it in many different places and had no idea what it mean :) thanks

I'm actually going to back up Jack here, as you've all pissed on his bonfire.

I know that he's obviously going to talk about it (it being his brother and everything) but he does seem to mentioning it a hell of a lot. I'm sure he's not doing it for the publicity, but subconsciously he could easily be bringing it up as a way of getting attention.

And don't shoot me down for saying that, it's just a psychological analogy.

I love this song so so much!!!
its different from the rest of their songs but its so amazing.

btw maybe Nathan talking about Matthew helps him come more to term with it. Maybe hes not completely over it! so talking about it helps him!
I'm on anyones side when its somes to a stupid arguement like this!

Posted by Corey | September 3, 2010 4:06 PM | Reply to this

Or...maybe, just maybe, even though this horrible thing happened to Matthew over a month ago...Matthew and Nathan are still living it every day. It would be a long and brutal healing process. How bout a little empathy...

And more than likely, Nathan is asked about it 100times a day. I, for one am glad for the updates.

Also btw...Love, love the new song!
