Aiden address split rumours

Seattle goth punks Aiden have address internet rumours alleging that they have split up and that guitarist Nick Wiggins has left the band.

"Aiden is very much alive and NOT broken up," reads an official statement from the band. "Yes we have been taking some time off. We have been spending our days with family and friends at home in a completely different environment from the world we have grown accustomed to living in over last few years. In fact we are on the cusp of recording our next full length, due out early 2011 on Victory Records. Get Ready

"Nick did not leave any of the bands he plays for," the statement continues. "Not Aiden, nor William Control, and certainly not his new band Me Vs Myself (He is the hardest working man in this industry, he is also a Zombie and will eat your face just for think that.)

"Earlier this year we had to cancel a UK/European tour on account of the other band we were coming with dropped out of the tour at the last second. We tried as hard as we could to salvage what remained, but in the end, we lost. Such is life. My grandmother used to say, 'Well, you win some, and you lose some'. All is not lost, we have re-booked the UK portion of this tour and are headed over there at the end of November. (I'm sorry Europe you're going to have to wait just a little longer.)

"If you live in the UK, the dates are posted here. Please Tweet, repost, tell your friends. Aiden is coming for you, we are working as hard as we can to get there and if we all believe hard enough, nothing can get in our way!"

If you don't like Aiden don't read about them. Don't you have something positive to focus on?

Anyway. I wasn't aware of these rumours of them splitting up in the first place! I understand why; Nick is a very busy man with the three bands he plays for and William Control has been touring a lot lately. We just have to remember that the boys will ALWAYS have time for Aiden, no matter what other projects they may be working on. They are a special band and the fans are just as special to them as they are to the fans. NONE of them are arrogant (I've met them. They are lovely), and none of them have any intentions of leaving.

Can't wait for the UK tour. They ALWAYS put on a good show.

Right let's get some stuff straight. First of all Nicholas is the bassist not guitarist. 2nd,i was completely unaware of any split/member leaving rumours. 3rd, whoever said william is arrogant are you shitting me?! Just no. 4th they are not shit live they are one of the most energetic yet humble bands out there,just because 'theyre not metulz' doesnt mean they suck and the only band i know that will never bullshit their fans.
Im so proud of them how theyve not changed the music they right,i cant wait to see them in glasgow next month!

Rob,no im not a retard,i have met william many many times and hes have NEVER been arrogant to me or my friends,the complete opposite infact.

I have seen plenty bands live,including green day, papa roach and the used.

Yes conviction sounds different to nightmare anatomy but there are reasons to why they sound different and NO its not to sell out.

Finally,how is defending a band sickening? Would you never defend your favourite band from any hating it gets? its only natural to defend something/someone you like.

You and all other haters can say what you want but aiden have been there for me and are by far my favourite band and i will always defend them.

I've followed Aiden and William Control for a number of years and it will continue on to the upcoming tour.

Even I can admit that Aiden are full of shit ESPCIALLY Wil Francis. He WAS lovely. I idolised him. Hung on to his every word. He was always lovely to me and I appreciated that.

Then someone clearly rammed something up his arse because he has turned into an arrogant bastard. Actually to say more he's an arrogant bastard who LOVES his groupies. Poor wife and kid at home WHAT?

Does he really expect people to believe that fans need to buy Aiden merch so they can afford flights to the UK....em hello? record companies pay for that shit. Do you honestly think Lady Gaga pays for all of her flights? Don't make me laugh.
