Escape The Fate postpone London dates

Escape The Fate have pulled out of their forthcoming European tour supporting Welsh rockers Bullet For My Valentine.

The band - who were due to kick off the tour in Helsinki next week - have announced that they are to stay in the U.S. while bassist Max Green undergoes treatment in an undisclosed rehab facility for drug and alcohol addiction.

The Las Vegas rockers were also set to play two headline shows at London's Islington Academy on December 6 and 7. These dates will be rescheduled shortly.

"Max needs his friends and family by his side, so we're not gonna leave him," says frontman Craig Mabbitt. "Max is one of my best friends and has never done this band wrong in any way shape or form. It's very honourable of him to admit he has a problem and wants to seek help for the longevity of his life and this band."

"I'm so sorry to the fans, but so proud of Max," he adds. "He needs our love and support through this rough time in his life, so let's give it to him. Our soldiers never let us down and we will be back to play Europe and the two London dates very soon. We love you guys."

The band's self-titled album is out now.

They kicked Ronnie out because he's in prison for being involved in a friggin murder, dude.

You should find out what actually fucking went down before you start shit talking about this band over the internet. Drug abuse? Actually, no. Learn the facts before hating on them.
I respect Max completely for deciding to get clean. I wish him and this band the best.

i do think its a tad hypocritical after all the abuse max once gave ronnie for being on drugs , and this is the third uk tour etf have pulled out of :/ butronnie was kicked cause his terms of probation were he couldnt leave the nevada state meaning he couldnt tour and had to go to prison not so much of the drugs or assisted murder, unfortuneately though etf have gone massively down hill though anyway the new album is barely recognisable from dying is your latest fashion . never the less i hope max does recover speedily

well i remember when max posted something on his myspace saying that he tried to help ronnie getting out of drugs as he had done.... and now he goes on rehab? Wtf? then when he said he was done with drugs years ago he was lying? haha im not even suprised. etf changed so much since ronnie's gone. Too bad he is a bastard. He was escape the fate's soul.

LOLZ. It just shows how downhill the band have gone, not only from the Ronnie days, but from the last album cycle as well. They don't even sound like the same band anymore.

To be honest this guy is doing the right thing to stop doing drugs going to rehab im sure everyone who bought a ticket are going to get there money back and always be a next time . You don't even know the guy and what happens in the band is there decision your not in the band so dont judge in the end of the day its there business so just shut it gosh people these days

Its a good thing I check this site a lot, otherwise I wouldn't of known. Surely they'll be sending emails soon to those who brought tickets. I think I'd prefer a refund, rather than a rescheduled ticket though...>__<

Max is one of the most amazing musicians walking this Earth right now and I like the fact that hes admitting to all his fans such as myself that he has a problem with drugs and alcohol that takes a big person to admit that and thank god for Escape The Fate because if it werent for them I wouldnt bew here right now.

Well, Everybody says they kicked Ronnie out for drug abuse, funny story, that's not true. He may have had a problem with drugs, but that wasn't why they kicked him out. First, Ronnie got on probation and he violated his probation and after a bunch of times doing that he couldn't go outside the city or state, so they couldn't tour and then he went to jail for, like a year or two, and right before that (ish) they kicked him out.
