New 30 Seconds To Mars' new video banned

The 20-minute short film that accompanies 30 Seconds To Mars' new single Hurricane has been banned after censors deemed it too explicit for UK TV.

For an example letter from the censors, and to find out what's been deemed too offensive for telly, see Jared Leto's blog.

Don't worry though, the uncut version of the video is expected to make it online later this week.

Hurricane will be released on January 10, in the UK.

oh why does everyone hate jared so much, hmmmm have most of you ever met him?? no.
i have to admit i do like their music alot and im going to see them live tonight so have respect for other people and their music taste please everyones different. kthanksbye.

I saw 30STM last night at the O2, and they were brilliant. I wish people would stop being so nasty about Jared, there's nothing wrong with acting and singing; just because you do one doesn't mean you can't do the other. He's not 'trying to play' at anything, he's more than proven himself as a capable musician. If you don't like his music that's fine, everybody has different tastes, we'd be horribly boring if we all liked the same things. But please don't belittle what he's achieved, just because he has more than one occupation. That's just daft. And a little petty. I’m not a hard core fan, but I’ve seen them twice now; 30STM are an excellent band live, regardless of their frontman’s other job. Perhaps we should respect him for that.

i don't understand why everyone is hating Jared. There is no point posting something like that as I'm sure you know, you will just get bitched at. It's best not to say anything as then nobody gets hurt. Hey, thinking about it, isn't all this music ABOUT getting hurt in mosh pits? Hmm, oh well, MOSH ON GUYS!
