Have Slipknot started work on new album?

Personally, I'd rather wait for a band statement or something similar on their official sites. I'm sick of one person reporting one thing and having the rest of the media jump all over it. When the band decide what they're doing, they'll post it themselves as a whole.

I think Joey's just bored cos Murderdolls bombed so he's trying to cash in. that's what i think.

slipknot have and always will be my fav band its nice to see joey has made a start but i do agree the band should do news or have a youtube video made something like that, plus i do hope slipknot return but just need corey's verdict on what he says

joey said they will record the bass amongst themselves (joey, jim, mick, craig, chris) for the record but when they play live they will have someone play live with the band but not on stage. he will be behind the curtain to the side of joeys kit. im glad they arent replacing paul but it would be nice for the band to make an official statement. whenever corey has been asked about the knot he always seems really negative and dont wanna talk about it. which i can understand totally but im kinda not holding my breath on this one tbh. not until they all say "its on". also im sure corey and jim would like a little bit of friggin time off seeing as theyve been touring the stone sour record for ages. lol. RIP PAUL GRAY!!!!!

How can Joey say 'they' all the time, when all the others are saying they haven't talked. Now I know Chris just got out of rehab, and Jim havent spoken to Mick in over three months.

I love Slipknot but God Im starting to lose respect. I cant keep finding excuses for their shitty way of handling stuff.

Sorry, whoever you are, but this band in particular have been through a lot of shit, so dont lose respect for them just becuase they are struggling to handle things, it's called being human.

i have heard rumors of corey not returning to the band :( i hope he stays cuz no one else on this earth can sing that song. im a huge maggot. my favorite band of all time! so i hope things work out for the best and either way i cant wait for new knot! stay sic fuckers! r.i.p pual gray....

It's looking like Joey was just trying to rustle up a bit of media attention, without talking it out with the band members. I personally don't see Slipknot lasting too much longer now, especially after reading Corey's response.
