first of all, it's a music magazine, so of course it's going to go to someone in the music industry.

second, it's funny you should use the phrase 'cancer of the music industry', when it's you that is the cancer. a cancer of society. spreading your negativity and hate because you hate yourself and you feel the need to spread that hate to others. and you are lashing out because you know you don't have even a hundreth, no thousandth, of the strength or courage to be able to do what Matthew did. to step into a domestic dispute between 2 strangers with no thought for your own safety takes an unfathomable amount of courage and bravery. the world would be a utopia if there more people like Matthew Leone in it. so keep your hateful comments to yourself because it's definitely you that's talking bullshit.

i really don't like madina lake at all, but i think that this is well deserved, i think it was a brave thing to do standing up against domestic violence, knock the band all you want, but don't knock the person.

It's so SO nice to see non Madina Lake fans still respecting Matthew and saying he well deserved this award. I'm a huge ML fan, and this is still hard for me to talk about. But it's still so nice to see how this has touched so many people. <3

Fucking incredible human being. Like the band or not Matt stands for everything a band should. He deserves every award and the band do too. New album much welcomed and I hope they jail the idiot who asaulted him, even if you hate ML they deserve theyr're awards!!

Matthew 100% deserved it. He had the gutts to go up to this total stranger and try to help her. Unlike most men in this world, matthew had the balls to try help her, yeah he didnt win, but he did save her, by putting his own life at risk. He was 15 minutes away from dying.
Madina Lake, are one of the most amazingest bands ever, they have changed my life. They are amazing people in person too, such gentlemens. I would love to see half of the fucking cunts on here dissing Matthew, to try save a total random stranger. Fuck the haters, cause Matthew and the guys will always be heros to they're fans. I'm not a big fan of Madina Lake but either way Matthew is a true hero and deserved the award. Not many people wld put their life on the line 4 strangers. I just wish people wld stop posting ridiculous hate comments.

It's amazing to see people who 'hate' madina lake even seeing this guy's been brave as anything, they're getting a hell of a lot of respect that's long deserved. What a ledgend, well done Matthew I can say I sure voted for him alot.

When I first heard about what happened to Matthew I was just told that he was assaulted and I thought, what's heroic about getting beaten up? But then I noticed how strongly people seemed to feel on here about him so I looked up what had happened.
It doesn't matter that he's in a shit band, he's got more guts than me. Matthew deserves the award.

I don't get why this guys a hero. He only helped someone who was getting beaten up. That doesn't make him a hero, most people I know would do that, if he hadnt gotten his head smashed in he would have gotten a well done and a pat on the back and thats it. You shouldnt get a hero award just because your famous and do something a human should do anyway.
