Paramore, Muse and Iron Maiden have been announced as nominees in the forthcoming Grammy Awards.
Paramore are up for Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for The Only Exception, and frontwoman Hayley Williams is also up for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals for Airplanes Part II which she recorded with rappers B.o.B and Eminem.
Muse have received three nominations for Best Rock Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for the album The Resistance and the single Resistance, respectively.
Pearl Jam's Backspacer is also up for Best Rock Album, while Led Zeppelin frontman Robert Plant has been nominated for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance for Silver Rider from his Band Of Joy album.
Iron Maiden are taking on Korn, Lamb Of God, Megadeth and Slayer in the Best Metal Performance category, while Alice In Chains, Ozzy Osbourne, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots and Them Crooked Vultures are set to battle it out in the Best Hard Rock Performance category.
Green Day have been nominated for Best Musical Show Album for the cast recording of American Idiot: The Musical, while Green Day, Paramore and Meat Loaf producer Rob Cavallo has been nominated in the Producer Of The Year (Non-Classical) category.
The Grammy Awards will take place at Los Angeles' Staples Center on February 13.
