Ok I totally get the whole MCR thing and I do like 30STM, BUT, Best Live Band for 30STM...no, no, NO! What about Green Day at Wembley people? It was less than six months ago! Surely the best live band there is and ever will be!

30STM won best live because not only do they sound good, but Jared Leto gives an amazing show to his fans. He's unpredictable on stage and that's why people like him so much. Whereas MCR album is not the greatest album in my opinion. . . The songs are hard to like.

This isn't surprising really. My favourite bands are My Chemical Romance and Avenged Sevenfold. I don't mind 30 Seconds To Mars either but it's always clear that 30 Seconds to Mars and/or My Chemical Romance are going to win an award. I'm very happy for MCR and 30STM but it's just a little OTT sometimes. Maybe next year you can restrict the votes to one vote per person? I can't wait to pick up Kerrang! on Friday and see whether Avenged Sevenfold won any awards. They certainly deserve a few.

Jared is a very hardworking man who puts his work before everything else so that everyone can enjoy the great music/videos/mini movies and concerts. They toured for like 11 months straight, all around the world & had sold out concerts and Jared winning the sexiest male is true because he has the most beautiful eyes and features, just stunningly breathtaking. I saw them this year at download, whilst they put on a good show, I just didn't feel the vibe like when I saw say: 65daysofstatic, Funeral For a Friend, Hadouken!, Killswitch Engage or We Are The Fallen this year.

As for MCR on best album, this year has seen better albums and the album hasn't been out long enough to be judged properly yet.
I think it should have gone to Deftones (best album).

In all honesty, I think Avenged Sevenfold deserved to be on top. Do any of you know what they have TRULY been through? (probably not, since you are all either whiny bitches or narrow-minded MCR/30STM fans) I mean, to be able to pull themselves out of hell and make an amazing album is just beyond me. Not many other bands can do that. And to get an album to #1 on the Billboard 200?

3STM deserved everything, went to see them last Saturday and they were absolutely amazing live! As for Jared Leto getting sexiest male you can't deny he isnt handsome he is nice.

kerrang have given MCR has led to them dominating. The album has been over-hyped too much, it is probably their worst. Also was no need to broadcast MCR related shows for 7 days in a row last week.

30STM have done alot of work this year and are actully very good live so they do deserve those adwards. But MCR have only been back for about a month and there is many bands who have been touring their new albums to death this year that in my opinion are just as good if not better then Danger Days! So i think its a shame that MCR won so many awards.

Despite being Echelon to the core, I have to admit that Muse was the best live experience. Mars was great, amazing really... but I'm not the hugest Muse fan and they made me go crazy at their gig. That's a sign of being able to play live.

i have seen them many MANY times. and i am a fan. they're ok live. nothing special. jared tends to be lazy with his singing & getting audience to sing instead. yes he has a lot of energy, but the songs don't sound great. and i have actually found a couple of their shows bordering on boring. i think the sloppiness has come with the growing popularity of the band, when they played electric ballroom a few years back, it was really fantastic, they seemed far more enthusiastic, more tight, and more exciting.

Okay I really don't care what people have said previous to this, but my God, 30 Seconds To Mars deserve that Best Live Band award. Seeing them for the first time in February was the most incredible night of my life, and that's all. I'm not here to judge, fight or argue about what bands are 'emo' or mainstream metal. I don't care, that's just my opinion. And also, I'm so glad Matthew Leone won that award, loads of respect for that man.

My Chemical Romance are f-ing awesome, however i dont think that they should have got album of the year, it was very good, but there were better ones. As for thiry seconds to mars, i don't have much of an opinion. From what i've heard, there older stuff was alright, but there newer stuff is koala shite. I wouldn't say Bring Me The Horizen were the worst band, but they certainly weren't the best. I haven't got the new kerrang yet ( i shall pick it up on saturday) but i sincerly hope that You Me At Six were voted second worst band, because they are all dirty little spunk-monkeys, who are, quite honestly CUNTS. There shit :).

I agree with some of the stuff you wrote e.g. best song, sexiest female etc. However, whoever said metal had to be underground? So what if BFMV are mainstream? That in no way makes them bad. If I recall bands like Iron Maiden, Metallica and AC/DC were mainstream bands back in their time.

Reader's polls are no longer representative of what the majority thinks because it's possible to vote more than once. Nothing stopping you making four hundred fake usernames to keep voting for the same band,

Also, bands who are not as technically savvy lose out because newer bands repeatedly tell fans to vote via facebook/ twitter/myspace etc. Bands that have been around a while - Green Day, Metallica, Foo Fighters etc - started out before the internet was the main way to communicate, so they don't have as much of an online following, even though they may have more fans.

Anyone else think it's creepy how Jared Leto has his fans brainwashed? I like a couple of their songs, but the whole Echelon thing is a bit much...

i always find it funny when ppl call bands like mcr "pop".....to be honest...their pretty underground still....more ppl know falloutboy and greendays....and real "pop" is the biebers. To be honest i know more people who dont know Mcr then who do....so i always find it odd when people say they are "pop" actually lots of people didnt know their new cd was even out yet....i do think it desereves album of the year...because i can listen to the whole thing and not get bored. I don't see why people hate on My Chem so much, or furthermore, why they assume that being a young teenage girl makes you any less of a fan. Yeah, I'll admit that I became a fan on My Chem three years ago when I was 11 in the 6th grade, but apparently it wasn't a passing phase because they're my very favorite still. Yes, I'm 14, but I have taste, more than some of you poser screamo fans who pretend to like bands you know are bad for the sake of fitting some sort of emo/scene label because you're too insecure to have your own taste and opinions. I mean, come on, you and I both know that BMTH is shit. Don't lie.

Anyway, yeah, Gerard's a decent-looking guy so naturally MCR's gonna lure some preteen fan girls who only like the band for his looks, but I'll have you know that My Chem also has a large, diehard fanbase who actually like their music. They might have some fair-weather poser fans, but doesn't every band? You can't hate them because of a few screaming girls.

My Chem is really neat because they always leave us, their fans, wondering what's next. So far, Danger Days is a decent album, in my opinion, though I'm not sure it incorporates the same creativity seen in the last three. Either way, they always keep us guessing and I have no doubts that they're as talented as ever. They're fun, and there's some real art to their music, their performances, and to their music videos. More so than other bands, so don't hate, okay?

Anyway, Muse is amazing, no doubt. They deserved awards for sure.
Green Day is obviously very talented and I love them, but I must say that 21st-Century Breakdown was a real letdown of an album. It just didn't seem as creative and original as their older stuff. Nevertheless, they're amazing live.
