Green Day set to release live album in March

Following a listing on Amazon before Christmas which revealed that Green Day will be releasing a new album in March, a representative from the band's US record company, Reprise, has confirmed that the release will be a live CD/DVD package.

The album, which will be titled Awesome As Fuck, will be released in the UK on March 14.

Green Day arent shite. They arent an awful band. They arent over-rated, people are always saying shit about them. They arent horrible people, I met Tre and him only after a show a few years ago, he started pretending to have the same kind of accent as me then he gave me a hug, a photo and wrote his name on my forehead. And I've watched basically every green day interview under the sun and they seem really nice, the other guys. They aint stuck up. Theyve been a band 24 years this year, and I dont think theyre gonna stop any time soon. Theyre in it for the music. Theyre true to the music, and they dont write about things that dont mean anything to them.

I fucking well cant wait for this album. Green Day fan through and through.

@liam i've met the band too and completly disagree with your statement. After bumping into Mike and Billie at their friend's birthday party in a bar in Vegas, I can honestly say they are two of the nicest, most down-to-earth musicians I have ever met. They didn't have to chat to me and my friend for half an hour or buy us drinks but they did and were happy to answer any questions we had and made us feel much less nervous about meeting two of my favourite musicians in the world (And I'm no spring chicken, I've been a fan of the band for a long time.)

Also basing your opinion on an interview on a Blink 182 DVD...seriously?

Shit band he says? Not only have they made some of the biggest albums ever made, they have also caught the eye of RockBand and are only 1 of 2 bands to have had their own game made - The other being The Beatles.

Not only that, they have hit the broadway scene with 'American Idiot' which was number one broadway show for a good number of weeks.

They been together for donkey's years which shows that none of them are stuck up otherwise they'd have ended up spliting up years ago.

So you take that Blink 182 DVD and shove it where the sun dont shine kiddo...
