No Doubt officially start work on first new album in 10 years

No Doubt have entered the studio to officially start work on their first new album in 10 years.

Guitarist Tom Dumont informed fans via the band's Twitter that the Orange County ska-punkers have nearly an album's worth of material written for the follow-up to 2001's Rock Steady.

"Holidays over. 2010 done. 10 new songs written. No Doubt's 2011 New Year's resolution: to record our new album... Beginning [this week]! Last year we were in studio mostly writing, just some recording. Starting today back in the studio, mostly recording."

On the homepage there is MCR, Evanescence, Linkin Park n Led Zeppelin news. No Doubt have been together nearly as long as 3 of those bands (not Led obv) put together and these are the only comments on their new album, bad form music "lovers".
Lookin forward to the new album.

I wasn't old enough to get into No Doubt, but I know the legacy they've left so I'll be following this a fair bit. Some of their stuff was great and it's refreshing to see a band from a decade or so ago still being a big deal.

nearly as long? No Doubt have been together for over 25 years now..the three other bands where all toddlers at that time.

@prettylush They got together in 86 n first release was 92 so it will be 25 years this year. But you know what i mean tho, preety poor show of comments on here. Tis gonna be very very gooood
