OMG, my first festival and it turns out to be one of the best festival bills ever. Not overly excited about Motorhead or In Flames but The Big 4, Biffy, Slipknot, Parkway, and Mastodon, jizztastic times lay ahead.

R.I.P Download 2011 :L They can't compete with that. :D

The line-up looks immense but I have to say, the current festival line-ups (both Download and Sonisphere) are brimming with repeat bookings. If you're a regular at either fest, chances are you've seen nearly all the bands on the line-up.

Sonisphere looks immense, don't get me wrong. But I'm strangely unenthusiastic. There's only Biffy Clyro I've never seen from that lot. The other bands I've seen numerous times before. I just hope they can bring some originality to the bill. Maybe some bands that don't play the fests as often.

Anyways, good stuff. Download are going to have to pull something huge out of the bag to even get close to competing with this.

soni is full of repeats, metalica biffy and in flames are only bands that excite me and u cant compare it with download, because download has only annouced 4 bands so of course soni is gonna look better

And why is that???

Because I bet Download are struggling like fuck to book bands.

It used to be a simple case of Dowload being an easy choice for bands seeing as they are doing a European Festival tour anyway, but with Soni doing a load of Euro festivals themselves, AND them moving their UK date back a month, it's a lot easier for them to drag bands away from Donnington
