Taylor Momsen "Don't believe what you read about me in the press"

She's been called a "brat", she's been told she "dresses like a prostitute" and she apparently once "set her neutered dog's testicles on fire". Ever since decided to leave hit US TV show Gossip Girl just under a year ago to front New York rockers The Pretty Reckless full-time, Taylor Momsen has attracted all kinds of negative tabloid headlines. In this week's Kerrang! magazine Taylor sets the record straight once and for all.

"I'll admit that I'm a little crazy," she tells K!. "But let's put it this way, I have a female dog named Petal and she does not have, nor has ever had, any balls!"

WHAT'S THE BEST RUMOUR YOU'VE HEARD ABOUT YOURSELF?
"There's been some fairly repetitive ones like 'Her eyes are as black as her soul' and 'She worships the devil.' One gossip magazine even interviewed a girl who claimed to have gone to school with me and she was like 'I saw her house and she has an alter to Satan in her closet' (laughs). A lot of people try and make out like I'm this crazy psycho, but I'm like 'Where are you getting this from? I have never met you.'"

HOW DO YOU COPE WITH BEING IN THE SPOTLIGHT AND ALL THE NEGATIVITY THAT CAN COME WITH THAT?
"Well, I don't own a computer, so the most I see is when people tell me about it. I just ignore it and try to live my own life. If you think about it like high school or college then you've got your circle of friends - my band [guitarist Ben Phillips, bassist Mark Damon and drummer Jamie Perkins] are my friends - then outside of that there's going to be people that don't like you, there's going to be people that talk about you, and there's going to be people that go 'Wow! Look how big her shoes are!' no matter where you are. This is just high school on a massive, massive scale. So I ignore what people say and focus on my music and doing what I do."

wtf is this? this isn't even about music, let alone rock music (have you heard their stuff)
the ONLY people who want to see them are the people who want to see her dress like that or that saw her in that show, ironically called gossip girl.
i am sick of reading about momson or williams' personal lives and pursuits, if i wanted to know that kind of garbage i would buy heat magazine or w.e.
IF i read kerrang (which is getting less an less often) i want to read reviews about music, ROCK MUSIC, i want to read about new albums/singles, i want to read reviews about live shows and i want to know about new bands hitting the scene and upcoming shows.
I DO NOT want to know what colour of knickers momson wore at the gig, nor the stylings of anyones hair and i don't need another update on what colour williams' hair is now either....IT'S NOT MUSIC.

kerrang, take note.........you are no longer a rock magazine, it is time you took your place among the others of your kind.....Hello, OK!, HEAT..........because to be honest with you......their stories are more hardcore than this shit

You see that it says "Hayley Williams" and "Taylor Momsen" and you click it, read it and leave a dickhead comment like that when you don't even like it?

How about you leave them alone and grow the fuck up?

As Matt said, if you don't like her, don't read an article involving her.

I, for one, love The Pretty Reckless. I think Taylor Momsen is amazing and she seems to really appreciate her fans. Whatever, we all have different opinions but seriously, what's the point in hating?

OMFG!!! im sick and tired of her complaining!!!! she is not in a "rock band" its just imitation rock. she cant sing, her bands songs all sound the same. tbqh, the only people that like her are wannabe fags and guys who are like "shes fucking fit"

Honestly, I like her music, but I don't expect it to be in Kerrang! in the same way that I like any pop music. If it's pop, it shouldn't be here!
Also, I read Heat magazine, but I read it for gossip and celebrity style and things like that, I read Kerrang! for rock music.
It is possible to like more than one type of music, but I don't want them all in one magazine, I read Kerrang! for rock, and when it's got stuff like this in it, I know that I an just stick to Heat and not bother with it.
