Red Hot Chili Peppers name new album?

Red Hot Chili Peppers have revealed the title for their upcoming ninth studio album.

According to frontman Anthony Kiedis, the follow-up to 2006's Stadium Arcadium will be called Johnny Skinz's Disproportionately Rambunctious Polar Express Machine-Head, which was apparently inspired by a friend's acid trip.

"[My friend] was reminiscing about one of his legendary acid trips, and told us that he had been playing a sold-out show to the planets and moons, and his Number One hit was, well, that title," the singer told US magazine Spin. "We found it so funny that we told him for as long as the album was under the radar, that that would be our nickname for it."

The album is expected to be released later this year.

really? i can't see the record label being happy with this, but they probably don't care. is this the definite official title or just a working title?

That would mean that the band Machine head would have to sue everyone who calls guitar tuning pins machine heads too.

Ehhh they said "nickname". Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't interpret that to mean that it's going to be the official name of the album...

Seriously, are the RCHP at all relevant anymore? I mean how many times have you listened to Stadium Arcadium? Vastly overrated has beens! Saw them back in the 1990's....when they were good!!
