Courtney Love settles Twitter libel case

Courtney Love has been forced to settle the Twitter libel suite brought against her by fashion designer Dawn Simorangkir.

As previously reported, on March 17, 2009, Love took to her Twitter account to direct several insults towards Simorangkir, alleging, among other things, that she was a drug-pushing prostitute and stole things from the grunge star.

Simorangkir's lawyer, Bryan Freedman, today (Friday, March 4) confirmed that the Hole frontwoman has been forced to pay out $430,000 (approximately £ 264,000) in damages to Simorangkir for her 140 character rants, and that sum reflects the seriousness of the case.

"Personally I think $430,000 is an appropriate way to say she's sorry," Freedman told reporters.

An official statement from Love is expected next week.

Like I said before, just another z-lister designer looking for money and publicity. Shit, it's just twitter, it's not like any of her clients would be listening to fucking Hole, nevermind following her on Twitter. So Courtney bitched her out - dunno whether any of that is true - get used to it, if the designer did know Courtney then she shouldn't be that surprised. She doesn't have a filter for that kinda stuff.

Courtney is guilty of a lot more than just mean twitter rants against the seller named Boudoir Queen. She also called other designers and the victim's own customers to personally spew her vicious lies. And she also left long, threatening messages on the woman's phone machine. I think the skank Courtney should've also got some jail time. The victim has kids, courtney doesnt (that live with her). This type of frightening terrorism had to have affected the children too. Courtnry is well known for her public
death threats to people she has it in for. but karma is making her life miserable, and I predict it'll get worse. What she did to Kurt is haunting her more in her old age!

Hey Tostoy, what exactly did Courtney DO to Kurt, anyway? Y'know, apart from give him the best fuck of his life (as quoted by KC) and mother his child?

If you're hinting at something more sinister & macabre, then just remember... "Big Courtney" is watching and listening and she will sue you in to the next lifetime! Hey, she needs to recoup that £264 grand some how, right?
