erm zac, do you realise that maybe some people actually cant afford to just travel to london whenever theres a good gig on there. it doesnt mean they're not a big fan though. so shut the fuck up.

Zac
Yeah, we're in a lot of debt, I get paid about £400 monthly, that money has to go towards helping my mother and brother eat and stay alive and you're expecting me to pay to go to london because I'm "that big of a fan"?
Because things are black and white in your fucking world doesn't mean it is for everyone else.
Inconsiderate arsehole.

@ian Manchester/Midlands is two hours away from everyone? Riiight...I'll have you know Manchester is AT LEAST 4 hours from where I live down South. I'm sorry, but that was a completely idiotic thing to say. London is the capital of the UK with LOADS of different size venues, it makes sense to do a one off show there.

Agh, always London. I hope he comes back for a UK tour!

patrick.... ..... .... best news.
guys guys. london is the capital of england and one of the most major and influential cities in the world..?!!!!
it's not rocket science to work out why bands play one off shows there instead of somewhere in the midlands...
also the promoter can charge more money in london. promoters love money.
also the artists fly in to london airports, so playing in london saves on transportation costs. otherwise you have to hire tourbuses/drivers blah blah blah, pay for fuel, etc... waste extra time/effort in covering unnecessary distance...
and before you say there is an airport in manchester... yes, there is. but artists have to do promo, and 90% of their promo is based in london.
logistics is the key, people.
although it is unfortunate that not everyone has the time and means to travel, zac's point is totally fair. lots of people DO have enough time & money, they moan but don't make the effort to travel. you can get shitty £5 fares on megabus which are probably comparable to the price buying a travelcard or equivilent in your local town. people who can feasibly get to shows should make the effort if they want to support an artist, rather than whining about why the artist isn't playing their hometown.
