Fall Out Boy haven't broken up

According to frontman Patrick Stump, Fall Out Boy haven't officially broken up.

Despite announcing that they'd gone on hiatus in February of last year, and Stump going solo, guitarist Joe Trohman and drummer Andy Hurley forming The Damned Things, and bassist Pete Wentz forming Black Cards, the band are very much a going concern.

"Fall Out Boy never broke up," Stump told US radio programme The Gunz Show. "That never happened. We really need a sarcasm font on the internet. We never had that conversation.

"A lot of kids would come up to me and say 'It really sucks you guys broke up', I'm like, 'Man, unless you know something I don't...'," he continued. "We just went on break, you know, whatever. I just wanted to clear that up."

Kerrang! did actually do a million articles about this, including a cover story so i can't believe people didn't know. I love FOB and have done for ages you'd think the fans would know about them NOT breaking up and just having a break.

Despite pete wentz's poserdom, they still write good records. When (as patrick said they haven't broken up) they get back together after doing their own shit, they'll most likely come back a tighter and shit hot live band. All any FOB fan (and as a fan of both Patrick Stump and The Damned Things, not to parcial to Black Cards) can hope for is too see them come back with the confiedence and ability they had in the early days.

we all knew that they hadn't broken up, if you'd all payed close enough attention over the past year you would see how many times it has been mentioned by different members of the band. I believe it isn't the end. Thank God people might actually believe me when I tell them this now!

There is a sarcasm 'font' as such. You add a squiggle (~) to the end or beginning of the sentence of which the sarcasm is implied. eg. I love Jedward so much they're great artists.~

I cried when I thought that they split, but now everything is all better and my heart is happy. They just need to hurry up and make some more music TOGETHER. Maybe now that Pete and Ashley are splitting. :)

If they went back to making albums like Take This To Your Grave and From Under the Cork Tree, this would be good news.

:') I would definatley go to see them if they did another uk tour, and if they bring out any new albums i would totally buy them! In 07 i was flicking through music channels and thnx fr th mmrs came on and i didnt have a clue who it was, and a few weeks back my friend showed it to me and ever since i got obbsessed... and then i found out they were on a 'break' so this is fab news to me!! :)
