"Not Everyone loves Glee!"

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has slammed Glee creator Ryan Murphy for assuming all rock bands are desperate to have their music appear on the hit TV show.

"You shouldn't have to do fucking Glee," Grohl tells The Hollywood Reporter. "And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we're not, like, begging to be on his fucking show. I watched 10 minutes [of the show]. It's not my thing.

"Slash was the first one [to reject the show]," he continues. "[Murphy] wanted to do Guns N' Roses, and Slash is like, 'I hate musicals. It's worse than Grease'. Then [Murphy's] like, 'Well, of course he'd say that. He's a washed-up ol' rock star. That's what they fucking do'. And then Kings of Leon say, 'No, we don't want to be on your show'. And then he's like, 'Snotty little assholes...'. And it's just like, 'Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included'."

Foo Fighters will release their new album, Wasting Light on April 11.

I agree with dave. rock bands and not desperate to be on the show, they are doing fine without it. its not the be all and end all if they dont want it on. just because rock bands have had their songs on their, it dosnt make them desperate, they just did it because they wanted to... not because they NEED to. so mr murphy can fuck off.

I like glee, it's an extremely guilty pleasure. However i do feel that Murphy is getting too big for his boots. He shouldn't think that just because his show is extemely popular everyone is obligated to allow their songs to be used, it the band or singers choice, Murphy should respect that.

I can't lie, I love watching Glee. But i love Foo Fighters and Dave more. Even though I'm a Glee fan I COMPLETELY understand why bands don't want their music on the show. I personally don't think rock bands should want their songs on the show. They shouldn't mix.

Dave put this so well, the dude who makes Glee has taken it SO BADLY when bands don't want to be on Glee and it really annoys me! He's just made himself look like an idiot, not the bands he's attempting throw under the bus.

Glee is the worst programme on television, the scripting is terrible and the actors are awful. It is one of those programmes aimed at 12-15 year old girls, who just want to see good looking people on television. There are of course many shows like this, however the way Glee continues to rape music and its ubiquitous involvement in society makes it hateable.

i died a little inside when glee did all american rejects gives you hell right at the beginning, they killed it so much that i vowed i would never watch glee again in case they ruined anything else for me, so i definitely agree that no rock band should sink low enough to let their music appear on glee.

I actually HATE glee! My friends love it, and one of them put it on in my car and I turned it off straight away! All it does is kill songs so its not surprising Dave didnt want to be on it!

I'm glad that after a decade of reality tv where people with no talent become famous there's actually a programme that is full of really talented people. Fine you might not like Glee but get over it. The fact is the actors are extremely talented with many of them coming from the stage and if I had a choice between the likes of Cheryl Cole or the Glee cast I know who I'd choose.

Dave's right, Bands should be free to do what they want with their music, if they don't want to give it to some stuck up twat for his shitty T.V. show, then they should be able to say 'No', without the cunt bitching about them because they wouldn't let him use a song.

Can't wait to see what Mr. Murphy has to say about this. What'll it be this time... "It's okay, Foo Fighters are shit, they've never made a good record, they're talentless, their carreers are over"... Any of them?... Obviously they're all untrue.

I know Mr. Murphy hasn't asked to use any of Foo's music... But, he'll probably still bash them.

I love Glee but I agree Murphy is going too over the top. Just accept that not everyone likes the same thing, that would be boring. Just shut up complaining or more bands won't want to let you use their songs. It reminds me of this guy I see every week trying to hitchhike and when a car doesn't stop for him he gives him the finger. You aren't going to get a lift like that and Murphy you aren't going to get respect for acting like an asshole either.

How the hell can you hate Grohl? He's just awesomeness personified! However, you do have a point about agreeing with him, I hate glee and everything related to it! Fair enough, I don't like most songs they do beforehand, but they make them worse! They shouldn't be allowed to even ask to cover great music.

I don't know who could not agree with Dave, The man knows what he's talking about. Glee is an absolute SHIT!! And the creator is a mother fucker who should burn in hell for creating that shit and realising it to the world so stupid fuckers like him think they have some kind of right in bashing real artist for not wanting to be in his shit of a show.
