Rise To Remain sign to EMI

London-based metallers Rise To Remain, who won the Best British Newcomers award at last year's Kerrang! Awards, have signed to EMI.

"We've come out of the studio full of fire and ready to blow everyone away," says vocalist Austin Dickinson. "2011 is going to be very exciting indeed!"

To celebrate, the band are offering fans a free download of new track The Serpent on March 22 via their website, www.risetoremain.com. The band's as-yet-untitled debut album will be released in the summer.

Just goes to show that major labels just love to sign complete and utter shite, shame about the bands that are actually good!

Lol I wonder if daddy had anything to do with this, sucks for all the bands who are better, yet don't have Bruce Dickinson as a father.

Just because Austin is Bruce Dickinson's son doesn't mean that his band get special treatment, 2 members of Straight Lines are Phil Campbell from Motorhead's sons and they don't get special treatment so get over it

Because that's totally not Iron Maiden's label or anything like that.
Oh yeah because metalcore is totally not a horrible stagnated genre.
Of course this band is playing new heights of incredible sounds that have never been heard before, like there totally isn't 100s bands that like sound the same.
This totally is not nepotism, not in the slightest.

Good for them. At least having a good british metal band doing well is better than all the utter shit in the charts.

Iron Maiden give EMI another unnecessary compilation album: EMI give Bruce's son a record deal. Who said nepotism is dead?
